I have been working at Nakama full-time (More than 8 years)

    - Great Culture
    - Really friendly staff members.
    - Embraces change
    - Encourages employee development
    - Has top of the range CRM system

I was the 3rd employee of the NAKAMA Ltd business and have personally watched this company grow from a start up and I've really enjoyed my time here!

For anyone looking to join the business whether in London or elsewhere in the world, I'd thoroughly recommend working here.

    Cons

There's building work across the road till Dec17

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Nakama full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

reasonable reputation in the market - little do they know!

    Cons

very much a " we have always done it this way culture and we are not changing"
no training, no clear structure. No encouragement particularly if your face didn't fit. High staff absences. People allowed to come and go as they please.Only a few good billing consultants, lots of consultants that underperform (and are very rude to newcomers) and are allowed to get away with it.
Horrible old fashioned offices with no air con.

    Advice to Management

put some structure in place and make quicker decision on the bad performers.
move offices or spend money on a refurb

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Autonomous work environment, as long as you're billing you're left to your own devices and can run your desk as you see fit.

    Cons

No clear leadership in place and no interest to build a collaborative culture. A lot of chop and change and lack of direction.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your team and take their opinions on board.
    Hold your managers accountable.

I have been working at Nakama full-time

    Pros

Having worked here just under two years:
Continued investment into improving inductions, staff rewards and training.
A full time head of learning and development.
    Flexible working hours.
Genuine Culture of care for what we do.
A vision for where the business and people are going.
Opportunity to work in other offices.

    Cons

    Induction process could be improved.
As an autonomous environment it will not suit everyone.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in the training and development of staff and do not keep under performers for to long.

I have been working at Nakama full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The team is great and everyone is really laid back / friendly / supportive.
We are supported with resources and management
Our offices are in great location and candidates always comment on how good they look.
We have just rolled out a new CMS database which basically helps SO much with the day to day.
We work in a fantastic and relevant sector.
And we have an office dog! Who doesn't love that!

    Cons

The office needs carpet! And a fruit bowl and maybe some bread. And some really cool art work. And our logo on the front door. But that's pretty much all happening over the next couple of months.

    Advice to Management

    Stay positive :D

I have been working at Nakama full-time

    Pros

The culture is unlike any I've ever worked in. Authentic, genuine people who want to each other succeed. Not your typical recruitment agency, forward thinking and supportive

    Cons

As with any businesses, they don't get everything exactly right all the time, but who does?!

    Advice to Management

Continue investing and believing in people as you do
