I have been working at Nalco Water full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great global organization with very talented and smart people. Lots of support from a corporate level.

    Cons

Every regional office is different. Not enough effecitve trainers to convey the information on to the next person.

    Advice to Management

Its a lot of information to grasp on to at one. I had a trainer that was great at the job but horrible at teaching job responsibilities and technical knowledge. I suggest that trainers go through a training program before that are able to take on the task.

    Pros

Great location, very nice work environment. Very nice, smart people. Great on boarding and training programs. Take advantage of all the in house training programs.

    Cons

After the Ecolab merger the management team was unstable and devisions were not well organized. During this transition it was very unstable work environment. I believe as time passes Ecolab will solve these problems.

    Pros

Good company . Extensive training . Superior technology , top talent, solid technical as sales training. Industry leader with global footprint .

    Cons

Work-life balance is challenging. Taking care of customers at established high level of service takes time and commitment beyond regular 9-5 schedule.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Strong market share and global presence. Very good innovation pipeline to build a strong future. Flexible on where you live

    Cons

Salaries and commissions are based on how long you have worked for the company not based on your performance. Very high political/ bureaucratic environment . Unless you have a VP or higher title can't expect to get answers or get things done.

I worked at Nalco Water full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is the best company in the business. They only hire the best. Your co-workers are highly sought after by competitors (I was). Company Car, Company Cell phone, Business credit card mean you don't have to pay a dime out of pocket.

The new employee training is intense. The technical training is going to be rough for anyone who isn't a chemistry major, but it's well worth it. I doubt any competitor comes close to the quality of the training.

This company is growing. There are plenty of opportunities for professional advancement.

    Cons

I don't think the pay is very competitive in today's job market. The quality of the co-workers and leaders makes up for it. Money isn't everything.

    Advice to Management

    Bring back the National meetings.
