    Pros

Free Parking, Great People, Culture and Attitude.

    Cons

Life/Work balance could be demanding, distance and traffic to get to Waltham.

    Pros

Had it's hands in some really cool spaces (domains, web communities, etc). Smart people. Cool office.

    Cons

Management (or perhaps investors), especially in the past few years, didn't seem to know what to do with the company. It was like everyone sort of threw up their hands and said "Kinds bored here. Let's just tear this thing apart and see what we can get for it."

    Advice to Management

Pick a plan and work towards making that goal happen. The swift cycle through buying and then divesting torpedoed a lot of good plans.

    I worked at NameMedia full-time

    Pros

Flexibility, independence, no pressure, no deadlines, no real work

    Cons

Mismanaged, bad leadership, lots of egos and misplaced opinions, many people lacking self awareness

    Advice to Management

Build a culture. Attract better people and focus on growth rather than old businesses that generate revenue for no real reason other than people are desperate for a domain name

I worked at NameMedia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I started at NameMedia shortly after graduating from college. I worked hard and absorbed everything that I could. My contributions were openly appreciated and rewarded with praise, new challenges, and mobility (both laterally and upwardly).
Senior management had a true open door policy which was greatly appreciated.
Co-workers were always fun, social, knowledgeable, and helpful.

    Cons

The great benefits (food, time-off, etc.) gave a small number of employees a sense of entitlement and was sometimes abused.

    Pros

While working here I learned a ton and my co-workers and the management team were wonderful. They really know how to have a good time but still work hard to achieve the company goals.

    Cons

Getting all the departments on the same page to prioritize a scope of work. Occasionally there seemed to sometimes be a little miscommunication about the priorities to achieve certain goals.
