I worked at Nando's Peri Peri full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great benefits package with supplemental vacation/insurance/SSL; opportunities for individuality in leadership

    Cons

Minimal opportunities to grow within brand; little to no chance at bonus with many “de-railers;” staffing managers was a substantial challenge with high turnover and minimal coverage for normal work schedules or vacation coverage.

    Advice to Management

Work on keeping managers and leadership team; create more opportunities for growth and development; create a mentor ship program; adjust bonus structure to be more attainable especially when running short staffed.

I have been working at Nando's Peri Peri part-time

    Pros

Easy work, mostly good people to work with, free meal with every shift.

    Cons

Communication with management can be difficult at times. A lot of job rollover for certain positions, so sometimes you get more hours than requested.

I worked at Nando's Peri Peri full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free staff meals on shift. 50% discount off shift.

    Cons

No support from area directors or central support staff. Blatant favoritism shown to managers who show up to happy hours and drink with area directors. No work/life balance. Expected to be “on call” for area directors every whim.

    Advice to Management

When I signed on with this company it was refreshing. An actual people focused company. I cannot remember how many times I heard “it’s the people who make the chicken” said by our leaders. Over the past few years the company has taken a drastic turn and has begun shifting focus from people to a more big box approach. Cutting quality and the art of the grill for fast, mediocre food. Nandos has lost itself and its values...

    Pros

Their Values Paid medical Vacation time Open to new ideas Customizable at a store level Team outings: for managers and team members alike

    Cons

Inconsistency store to store Lack of organization Culture changing rapidly Slow progression for growth

    Advice to Management

Show appreciation for the managers that have been loyal, dedicated and who work hard. Promotions and compensation shouldn’t be based off of popularity but off of results and hard work.

I have been working at Nando's Peri Peri full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, responsive and supportive HQ staff, your time is by large appreciated, upper management is respectful of work-life balance, decent promotion potential (to a point)

    Cons

Benefits not as good as they once were (and getting worse every year), bonuses are extremely difficult to hit, long operating hours, you'll be expected to stay open through blizzards and storms that shut down the rest of the area
