I have been working at Nanyang Technological University full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - if you like slow tempo, minimal workload, and looking for a place to retire, this suits you.
    - brand name is strong, because everyone knows NTU (easier for your next jobhop)
    - working in a youth (students, not staff) environment
    - foodcourt, to cafe, to fastfood to restaurant, with supermarket, ocbc bank
    - still allow smoking (discreetly)
    - stable career, with decent bonuses (AWS+VB)
    - 18-21 days of leave (depending on your rank)
    - Aviva medical covered ($5 co-payment) (a list of panel GPs)
    - dental $70 per year
    - knock off on time, if not 10-15 mins earlier (to catch the chartered bus)
(there is paid chartered bus to & from different parts of SG, at different rates, ranging from $90-$130.

    Cons

    - ageing population (similar to SAF)
    - looks good on the outside (ranked 11th in the world), but inside not as rosy as it is
    - no standard work processes, no proper documentation
    - takes at least 3 working days to reply email
    - not driven at all
    - everyone going through motion, and waiting for payday
    - not organised at all
    - no proper orientation for new staff, no guidance, no proper handover, no SOP, everything start from zero (at the expense of your own time to explore)
    - there is two public buses (179, 199 from boon lay), and a free campus bus (from pioneer). its always packed to the brim during peak hours.

    Advice to Management

    - to tidy up all the internal processes
    - change blood (the management doesn't seem to know how to manage the office) (most of them have no real corporate experience, either they are academics background, or have been in NTU for decades)
    - consider have a LRT to either pioneer or choa chu kang, or to the nearest civilisation. few hundred, if not thousand people going to ntu or leaving ntu with just that 3 bus services is not sufficient.
    - tighten the internal audit - in aspects of processes
    - buildings looks new inside, but very old inside
    - have more food outlets to cater to the increasing number of people
    - have shelters from all bus stops
