I worked at Nashoba Valley Ski Area part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Once you have spent a summer, winter, fall, year, or whatever it is at Nashoba and get to meet everyone that works there it quickly becomes a rewarding work place. I worked here for about four years and enjoyed every bit of it, the people are nice, work place is casual, and labor is fulfilling.

    Cons

Sometimes things can become a little disorganized but nothing drastic. Some employees can take the freedom and responsibility awarded to them after awhile and begin to abuse it.

    Advice to Management

    Increase pay somewhat.

    Pros

Great environment to meet new people and deal with people of all sorts. Very flexible hours and decent pay

    Cons

The business side itself seemed unorganized and time cards were lost constantly. Sometimes the members were tough to deal with, but not impossible

    Advice to Management

The business side needs to be organized. I felt that the lifeguards had a little too much discretion and the manager would leave at 5:00 PM, while the lifeguards were working til 8 PM

    Pros

free skiing, great coworkers that become friends real quick. everyone willing to help out when the time is needed. management very apreciated of their employees.

    Cons

nothing bad, well except shoveling out your car after a day of working or skiing. and the employee discount at the cafe isnt much, its cheaper to eat full price in the restaurant for lunch.
