    Neutral Outlook

I worked at National Australia Group (Europe) (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people I worked with, and support received from the bank, both personally and professionally

    Cons

very routine work, taking telephone calls the vast majority of the time.

    Advice to Management

Bank would do better as a stand alone company, which it now is, offer more variety to workforce,

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

    Pros

There is a good life balance and the company can be flexible . This depends on your manager. It's in the city centre.

    Cons

The delivery roles need more definition and structure. Lots of politics and tension between areas. Customer goals getting lost at times as technology issues get fixed by projects.

    Advice to Management

A better balance is required between business and technology goals .A better simpler delivery structure is required.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

Good work life balance, time off for personal circumstances, good internal training for direct banking staff.

    Cons

Little training for non-bank specific career development paths. Recruitment from within makes it difficult to keep up to date within the IT field, so systems and process are dated.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at National Australia Group (Europe) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good supportive colleagues and freedom to shape your job as you feel is best. Almost felt like a family at times. Reward package ok. Flexible employer and good work life balance opportunities.

    Cons

Weak senior executive team, hamstrung by Australian parent. Feels like just marking time until a buyer can be found. Suspect there will be few bonus opportunities in the medium term.

    Advice to Management

Get free from NAB and make the most of the CB and YB brands

    Pros

Very friendly place and nice people to work with. Good working environment. Work is quite flexible and they encourage a good work life balance.

    Cons

Salary increases are slow and small. Bonuses are relatively small too
Limited work locations and fewer opportunities to move amongst locations.

    Advice to Management

Need to be more aggressive in the strategy to acquire new businesses and make the most of the strong brand name to focus on outward growth opportunities rather than smaller organic growth
