    Pros

Lifestyle; No pressure, no anxiety. I used to leave office before 15:00. Stability. Relatively adequate salaries. Still a powerful organization.

    Cons

Mediocracy rather than Mediocracy. Limited opportunities to develop. No room for new initiatives. No collaboration culture. Inadequate top and medium management.

    Pros

A lot of parallel projects, interesting and dynamic work, good team.

    Cons

Slow decision making process for subsidiaries, decisions are centralized in Athens.

Improve decision making process to catch up with emerging opportunities on the local market

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at National Bank of Greece full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Financially stable, with relatively high salaries

    Cons

I was 10 years employed as a teller. Although I got an MSc in Information Systems, I was never transferred to another department that would enable me use my skills and generally I didn't get any chance to advance my career or even change working subject.

    Pros

Work - life balance, stable environment, reputable Group and good to have it on your CV.

    Cons

Promotions are based on years of experience and not on working skills. Lack of middle management, influenced by political parties. Bureaucracy and public sector mentality. Unfair payment policy. Rented workers are not being trusted even if they are skilled and highly educated, they don't have the same benefits with permanent employees and they don't feel part of the team.

I worked at National Bank of Greece as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very good work-life balance. Steady job. Satisfying salary taking into account the tasks one is assigned and the remuneration of lower staff in other Greek banks.

    Cons

Lack of meritocracy, no luck in getting employed after an internship due to company's policy. Tasks and work load not fairly allocated among employees.

    Advice to Management

The bank would be working much better if it were staffed with deserving employees. More meritocracy and career opportunities for the best people.
