I have been working at National Carriers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work is very easy most of the time

    Cons

They really don't care about any drivers , you will not get a hold of anybody when you really need them they have now taken PC off the blue tree I just spent over $25 in a taxi to go shopping because nobody would answer the phone when I left a message I still did not get a response . Your salary is nowhere near what they tell you you will earn, I am now in the process of finding a better job than this , This has to be the worst place I've ever worked.

    Advice to Management

What is the point they would not listen whatever I told them their turnover in drivers is atrocious

    Pros

Pay is competitive, home time was good. Open door policy means open door policy. All staffing are the best I've ever come across.I would have never left, but needed to stay closer to home.

    Cons

I can't complain about anything. Had gr8 communications with staff, kept me busy.

    Advice to Management

Need more work, from state that you hire from. Overall I really liked working with this company.

I have been working at National Carriers full-time

    Pros

Nice equipment . They say they care but words mean nothing . Okay benefits . Nothing to brag about .

    Cons

. Load planners have no idea how to book a load w/o sitting wasting time . Liberal & Dodge City ,Ks you will be do a 34 to 48 hr restart whether you need it or not .

    Advice to Management

NCI drivers shouldn't have to sit and wait 2days for loads coming out of Liberal or Dodge City . This is like punishment for wanting time schedule time off . Let's screw the driver out of miles because he is going home let's send him to Dodge City or even Liberal .

    Pros

Loved this company from the beginning. I have been in this industry since 97 and I really thought National Carriers Inc was the best company to drive for until...

    Cons

Had to take time off to take care of family then I was diagnosed with cancer. I was never notified my health insurance was going to lapse not was I offered Cobra to keep my insurance. I scheduled my surgery and I was told the day before my surgery my insurance was canceled. WHO DOES THAT TO THEIR EMPLOYEES??? It isn't like I have a cold. This is a life or death sentence and I can do nothing. Thanks NCI.

    Pros

Plenty of miles. Hard work pays off here. If they give you miles and you prove yourself, you will never want for anything that this company can offer.

    Cons

I have no real complaints about this fine company. You truly get out of it what you put into It, But if you think 1000 or 1500 miles a week is enough you won't last here.

    Advice to Management

Al Love, you rock! If people complain about you it's because they did something stupid and you did your job.
