    Positive Outlook

I worked at National Centre for Biological Sciences full-time

    Pros

Best in class infrastructure. International teams. Novel research topics. Lectures by distinguished visiting Professors from USA, Germany, UK, Singapore, Japan, France, Italy.

    Cons

Competitive. Steep learning curve. Work culture could be intimidating in the beginning. Winner takes it all - very little chance to compete if coming from small town educational setup.

    Advice to Management

Provide soft skills training to junior reseach fellows such as - international communication skills.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at National Centre for Biological Sciences as an intern

    Pros

World class research exposure in India, great (and cheap :) food, professors are top notch, and the students are very cool.

    Cons

The main drawback I felt was the length of time you will invest in case you are a PhD student. Don't expect to graduate quickly (we're looking at ~ 7 years)
