    Pros

Great mission, love what I do

    Cons

Departmental decisions can be a nightmare. You have to go through too many people to get a resolution, if that is even possible. Pay is low for the expectations of the job. Different set of rules for the same job, depending on who you are. No advancement opportunities.

I worked at National Church Residences full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I liked my job traveling near the office, I needed benefits. Expensive but worth it and no complaints with my pay or timing of receiving paycheck. Pay was great to me! The residents were great at my buildings didn’t judge me, but looking back I believe the courdinator and nurses stationed at one building did confuse residents

    Cons

At a certain point I had to manage resident complaints about who and from where certain services could come in from. From office was educated that all services needed or wanted by residents were based on the resident needs and income but choice mainly. In the building in Dublin I had too many problems with this issue from her, and she stated the services had to be from ncr per marketing guy and nurses but communicating this became to difficult because not true. Other staff understood as I did that because couldn’t force services or people visiting, that any chosen companies were ok to provide but again I had to much drama explaining why confusion as this sc here told different story and said from marketing department and his nurses

    Advice to Management

Stop confusing information and if changes occurr where residents have to use only ncr health care instead of picking resources or hospices or any care be sure to explain to all ncr staff because the residents are told opposite and staff are in middle to explain. Also more specific is I’ve seen two residents upset about visitors being unable to visit because were told that since were part of different companies before but were visiting as friends only can’t call or visit? These residents don’t deserve breaks in friendships if visited for companionship when they requested. I’m hoping this coordinater is educated on what’s true and this affects residents negatively
