I have been working at National Counseling Group full-time

    Pros

More than enough clients for a case load.

    Cons

    Management doesn't always follow through.

    Advice to Management

Look more at the work an employee actually has to do compared to what you ask them to do. Many times we are working harder than the numbers/paperwork shows.

    Pros

    🤔🤔🤔🤔(I got nothing....still...Nothing)

    Nothing, nothing, nothing,

    Cons

    -unstable, very stressful
-They have favorites (If you're not one of them beware)
-management is all over the place
    - They want you to be a taxi service
-They expect you to be a people pleaser to the clients
-on one hand they say "set boundaries" and on the other hand when you do and they (clients) call the office on you, you're the bad guy
    - they are always changing SOMETHING
    -unrealistic expectations
-one week you have 50 hrs, the next maybe 20
-They don't care about the workers AT ALL!!!
    RUN!! DON'T WORK HERE!!!

    Advice to Management

Be cohesive. Make the worker's job easier, not harder. Be more supportive instead of taking a client's word and running with it. You can always get a client, but good worker's are hard to come by. (This explains burn out and turn over)Do effective trainings. Stop being contradictive.

    Pros

You will have the freedom to make your own schedule. The work with children and families is rewarding.

    Cons

Frequent client cancellations will impact your paycheck. Poor supervision. Their only concern to getting money from Medicaid and not true client care. They make promises at the interview that they will not make good on. There are frequent changes in compensation. The pay is pretty low for the level of education held by most staff.

    Advice to Management

Please provide training to your supervisors on interpersonal skills, leadership, and cultural competence. Additionally, find ways to design a compensation package that encourages employees to stay for a long time.

NCG is an agency that truly cares about the people they serve and wants to improve lives. The management team is ethical and supportive of staff--as working in home can feel isolating at times. There's a clear intention to keep people connected and create a positive culture.

    Cons

This work can be challenging at times and requires flexibility and to work evenings/weekends.
