I have been working at National Defence and the Canadian Forces full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Excellent job stability. Full medical/dental coverage. Fully subsidized education whilst on salary. Great way to get a jumpstart on career.

    Cons

Organization is like a dinosaur - do not expect a progressive work environment. You will not have any choice in where you are posted - and it's usually somewhere remote. You could get stuck in a training system for multiple years without any indication of progress.

    Advice to Management

Speed up system and give members more foresight of future postings.
