    Pros

Nice to work for a large company because you can change your position without leaving the company.

    Cons

I don't have anything for Cons. It is a large company. If you don't like your job, put in for a different position.

Diversity and opportunity to grow. The company allows for paid internship.

    Cons

This is not across the board but in the area that I was assigned requires a structure in place for training .

    Advice to Management

Support the internship with a well structured training.

I worked at National Grid USA (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent training opportunities if you want them. Certifications state and federal are paid for by the company. Steady paycheck at a livable wage.

    Cons

Split with PSEG has left the company and its employees both bargaining and management in a state of confusion about where our futures are headed. Again workforce is retiring and taking their experience with them. Increased workloads with fewer qualified personal and limited budgets for materials and overtime are going to be an issue in the future.

    Advice to Management

Realistic demands on the part of upper management for the middle management section as well as the bargaining employees. No budget or time for preventative maintenance is putting us in a compromised position to carry out our common goals safely and effectively

    Pros

National Grid paid very well, especially for seasonal interns. The company allows their workers to have compress work weeks and flex hours as well.

    Cons

The lack of communication is a big issue in the company. Especally with my team, I felt bored and under used very often. Especially after the individual who trained me left and went to another job.

    Advice to Management

Take more time to listen to the everyday worker. Have better lines of communication between workers as well.
