I have been working at National HME full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Job security, fun and positive atmosphere

    Cons

Very few job openings, pay increase are minimum. Upper management and executives do sometimes favoritism and they need to become more involved overall.

    Advice to Management

Executive team could be more involved. Take care of employees who have been with your company for mutiple years. I have been employed for over4 years and yet to get a raise within last two years. However, I love my job and I don't plan on leaving.

    Pros

Working alone, driving to different places, meeting different people, day goes by really fast, fast paced

    Cons

No time off, extremely long work days, phone constantly ringing, the unknown time of when your day is over, chaotic, overwhelming, work overload

Hire more people and increase pay rate

I worked at National HME full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working at national hme gave me humility. It was the most rewarding job I ever had the pleasure of having. I was able to help people in need of medical equipment that were on the edge of there life. By providing a great product and service I was able to go home with a great feeling of accomplishment.

    Cons

The long hours and constant work load could be looked at as a con but I rather enjoyed them. Being on call could also be a con.

    Advice to Management

Get to know your workers and give credit where credit is due. Make sure the equipment is being properly serviced and the patients are being properly educated. Be sure to train your mst well.

I worked at National HME full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The hospices, nurses, and drivers were pleasant to work with.

    Cons

I reported a coworker for harassment multiple times and upper management did nothing to put an end to it. They actually laid me off instead of firing me to get rid of me which I found to be suspicious.

    Advice to Management

I would be more on top of your workers and how they treat other employees before they mess with the wrong person and a good company gets sued because of it.

    Pros

Great camaraderie at the office, really good benefits, and the opportunity to help people who are in the final stage of life.

    Cons

Hospice is a 24/7 industry so National HME has to be there when needed. This creates long, unpredictable hours for the medical service technicians.

    Advice to Management

Keep the lines of communication open between headquarters and employees in the field.
