I have been working at National Heritage Academies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

NHA puts students, families, and staff at the core of what they do.

You are given lots of opportunities to grow and develop professionally. Leaders are personally invested in each individual on the team and his/her success.

The culture is great. We are given flexibility to balance our work and home life. I have awesome co-workers. We work hard but we have fun too.

    Cons

You work hard. We do more with less on purpose.

    Advice to Management

Continue to always put people first. Our people are our best asset in a way that not many other organizations can say. We couldn't do what we do without our people. Our students and families come to NHA because of the staff!

    Pros

Some of the best reasons include the new innovative approach to classroom learning. When one thing is not bringing the test score results then Supervisors are more than willing to try another learning style. Another observation is the indivdualism of classroom management for the educator. Educator's appear to be encouraged to try new styles of learning within the guidelines and circulum.

    Cons

The benefits of Medical and dental only apply to fulltime employees and I believe there is no tenuring into the company. Parapro's posistions are only contigent upon title one funding.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps to cut some of the paperwork and tracking some the teacher is able to concentrate on more of the classroom.

I worked at National Heritage Academies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company to work for. These teachers really are looking out for their students. Working hard to bring out the best of each student.

    Cons

Can't seem to get back into the company. I know I did a good job while there, I just can's seem to be able to connect to the right people to help me get back in.

    Advice to Management

Take advantage of older worker, they have a lot to offer, and are willing to give the job the very best of it.
