    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at National Hispanic University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Warm, caring environment, a great place to work. Cheerful and friendly coworkers, aligned by a common interest in student success. Syllabus course alignment with other universities makes it possible for students to transfer credits and continue on in larger institutions. Instrtuctors can visualize their success as they see students moving up to bigger challenges at SJSU, Santa Clara U, and elsewhere

    Cons

Pay in an academic environment is not high.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on the family environment and take challenges in stride.

    Pros

Dedicated, passionate employees. Very different than other places.Collaboration is the norm.

Extremely low enrollment. Could not improve quality. Corporate owner cutting support services and pay for faculty.

    Advice to Management

Do not mislead students and staff.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at National Hispanic University full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice, friendly, passionate staff. Fun environment. Very flexible and accommodating with your schedule. Small staff size, everyone is very close.

    Cons

Low starting salary. Although I was told I could eventually move up it felt as though there was no upward mobility. Sometimes was asked to do tedious work that was not initially part of my job description. Work was very repetitive.

    Advice to Management

Remember to do your performance reviews with staff, I should have had a 6 month review for the possibility of a raise and I never had one.
