    NIC (National Informatic Center ) is under Central Govt. of India.Its a very good experience.

    Cons

    NIC (National Informatic Center ) is under Central Govt. of India.But I am working as contract basis employer.Its not a permenant job

    Relaxed environment, you can learn mvc, and work on core code

    Cons

    no good pay grade and increment, politics too.

    Advice to Management

    hire a good HR and a DBA

    Pros

    Good expossure to the technologies and free to perform our R&D.NIC could be a good plat form for a beginner.Designing,Development,Testing ,Bug fixing,Database creation,writing queries etc.. There is lot of opurtunities to learn things while a private company handle this things with separate employees.

    Cons

    Growth inside NIC has limit.

    In the capital city so close to my home ,not a 9-5 job.flexible work environment

    Nothing as per my view, management could have been much better in terms of decision strategy.

    It should be much better than it is.Decision flow is not that good as expected.

    Huge government projects hence vast scope of learning, Also you'll get to know some very genius and powerful administrative guys.

    Cons

    No guidance what so ever, No fixed requirements

    Advice to Management

    With a clear partitioning between administrative and technical tasks, NIC can do much much better
