Intellectually stimulating environment, flexible hours, chance to work on projects that build on and expand your interests whilst being at the forefront of macroeconomic and social research.

The internship was unpaid, but NIESR have since expanded their opportunities for young graduate students looking to gain experience in qualitative and quantitative research.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at National Institute of Economic and Social Research full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very relaxed atmosphere, flexible working times, pleasant colleagues, building is in an easily accessbile location.

    Cons

Far too many meetings which don't accomplish anything, too many managers giving conflicting instructions and the IT infrastructure is poor.

    Advice to Management

Unnecessary committees are not a good thing.
