I have been working at National Instruments as an intern

    Pros

    - Great intern coordinators: they're always willing to help you improve your internship experience
    - Great coworkers: national instruments kinda drills this into your head that they have a great company "culture," which in practically every case has held up in my experience. The people are great, Austin is great, so no complaints here.
    - My intern work was challenging in a good way. My team contacted me even before the internship started, asking for what opinion on a couple different options they had for me as to what I'd be working on over that summer. Each of the ideas they had in mind was a project that would actually contribute something to the team in some meaningful way, and the project timeline would allow me to wrap up the project in a neat little bow and to ship exactly before my internship finished up.

    Cons

Honestly, nothing really striking to note here.

    Pros

Managers are incredibly dedicated to their employees here. Work life balance is absolutely in the hands of the employee, with very few roles in the company having any set schedule. Working from home is available, the culture is incredible, projects are rewarding, and the people who work here are likely to become your best friends.

    Cons

A lot of the learning is done on a 'just in time' basis and there isn't a lot of formal teaching for new employees or those who are new to a role.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to new employees and don't just assume that they know what's going on.
