    Pros

Staff is great, really awesome company culture and a very stable place to work, only worked for a short amount of time but really enjoyed my time here so far

    Cons

Systems are long outdated, Company needs to do a better just getting the name out there, Great place to work if you can find it

    Advice to Management

Seems to be some relatively easy improvements that can be made that haven't been done yet, not entirely sure why. Make sure to keep the systems up to date to adapt to the changing workforce

    Pros

Great company culture and HR (People Center) are very helpful.
That's about all I have to say.

    Cons

The call center was completely disorganized. They expect you to take calls for every department with not training or certifications. Management over the call center haven't the slightest clue what they are doing. All in all, the company is great! The call center for Life is horrible.

    Advice to Management

Learn what you're doing to create efficiency in the call center instead of demanding that employees "push calls" and try to make them do other various tasks that should be handled by other departments.

I worked at National Life Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

they gave around 20 days of off time up front, but if you were to leave in the middle of the year they will take out the money owed for the time off you have taken off your final paycheck; tolerable place to be for old people (40's and up) to be if you just want to work, get a paycheck, then retire.

    Cons

THE CULTURE IS TERRIBLE AND MANAGEMENT IS ABSOLUTELY INCOMPETENT! You will dread going to work daily, employees and managers all gossip negatively about each-other; closed and traditional culture (like blockbuster) with no room for change, improvement, innovations, or growth. If you are younger generation, try to bring change, or if the mngrs see you s a threat (I have multiple degrees, and good experience) they will do all they can to make you leave or kick you out. Unbearable environment to work in; management brags to employees and threatens them in stead of encouraging and helping them. Terrible pay for amount of work you do; no real HR (just one lady). No opportunities for promotions or advancement. Company treats people like dispensable objects and thrive on blatant favoritism. It's just... really bad. They have alot of work to do or they will NOT make it past current stage. If your old and just looking to retire, go for it; otherwise, you will be stuck and miserable.

    Advice to Management

Management is completely incompetent; wipe them out and get people that are actually qualified for the job and know how to bring the best out of employees. Things being done in that company are border line illegal; and favoritism is shown to a hand full of individuals while others sit and watch because management doesn't even try to hide it. It's terrible and needs alot of work. embrace change and innovations or you will undoubtedly never prosper.

I worked at National Life Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Learn about insurance industry: annuities and life insurance

    Cons

Upper management refuses to promote talent. As an internal wholesaler you will be promised promotions. There is no training, it is a micro managed team, they promote people who don't deserve it- under utilize people who are willing to work and they count how many calls you accept daily and refuse to use quality over quantity.

    Advice to Management

Better training, listen to employees concerns and be proactive vs. reactive.
