    Pros

    This is a company I would certainly have loved to work for for the rest of my life!!! Lots of space to be creative, learn, grow and develop as a professional. Also, the culture they have is great.

    Cons

    None! They are doing a great job.

    Pros

    Hourly employees receive good benefits and get to interact with amazing resident. The hourly employees are great to work with.

    Cons

    Poor leadership. Management does not listen to any concerns. Communication is horrible through out. No loyalty for years worked with the company or experience.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to the residents and the staff that interact with thwm.

    Pros

    Committed to seniors . Good history. Front line team works hard and creditable . Department/ Division leaders attempt to achieve goals, although hindered by upper leadership. Wondering who is really achieving the work ?

    Cons

    Leadership. CEO is off base and leading the communities in the wrong direction. Question his motives and integrity . What are his motives? Look at past history and hidden agendas.

    Advice to Management

    Keep focused. Keep seniors at central. What is your mission? Question direction and motives of top leadership. Take a hard look . Sincerely believe that self motivated interest could derail organization. Question credibility of CEO based on past practice, performance, self interest, biased judgement, hidden agendas and overall effectiveness. Serious issue.

    I have been working at National Lutheran Communities Services full-time

    Pros

    Nice, intelligent coworkers who genuinely care about the mission of the company. No micromanaging supervisors. CEO is extremely personable, friendly, respectful, and fair.

    Cons

    Salaries are lacking unless you're in IT or the head of the department simply cares enough to pay their people what they're worth so they'll stay. You work hard for pennies on your paycheck in most departments but that fact is easily overlooked by many because of the great work being done. There is no structure for salary ranges and no rhyme or reason as to which positions are exempt versus non exempt. Raises are negligible; laughable even. Meaningless positions are created far too often. Some work extremely hard for little pay. Some don't have much to do with more pay.

    Poor and egregious behavior is overlooked and excused for some employees while others are reprimanded or even terminated for minor, petty issues.

    Benefits are decent, however a little expensive compared to other companies.

    Overall, money is SPENT in certain departments and it shows, while being pinched in others, so great employees have lowered morale because of it.

    Advice to Management

    Overall, the salaries need to be viewed and reviewed for standards. Some employees feel severely underpaid while viewing others as overpaid. Some employees also feel this is a reason to leave despite feeling satisfied with the overall environment. Far too many outside contractors as well which easily spells big money going out the door. There needs to be more, clearly delineated, opportunities for advancement and promotions from within.

    Upbeat and pleasant staff. Clean and bright facility.

    Never enough resources. Management promises it will get better but it's 50% talk.

    Pros

    Working environment is really great and they take good care of their employees. they encourage employees to work harder and push them to better themselves in the organization.

    Cons

    Is a constant place for daily improvement so one has to work real hard to climb the corporate ladder.

    Advice to Management

    Not much advice i can give to management but they should give allow other departments to voice out their opinion.
