I worked at National Response Corporation full-time

    Pros

    Decent benefits package is offered

    Cons

Employees are not motivated, little no no morale, management doesn’t seem to care or do anything about it, they got rid of the one hr girl who brought any life into the office. Company does not pay its bills so accounts payable job is impossible. Keep saying things will get better but they don’t. Rumors always flying about great river office closing and management does a bad job shutting down the rumors. Even... director level employees have low morale and give their negative opinions of the company in the office.

I worked at National Response Corporation full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Starting Salary, paid time off, health insurance and 401K are inline with industry standards. Coworkers are very pleasant to work with.

    Cons

No clear direction from management, every other week they would change what they wanted accomplished. Management left groups of employees in the dark on the daily ongoings like it was a big secret even though it effected your job directly. Management failed to return calls in a timely manner which resulted in failed deadlines with clients. Compensation could have been good if they gave the sales staff budgets. I... never had one in the time I was there. I was told by other employees that this was an annual issue. There was no trainig to speak of, quick run though of a very complicated computer system and then left on your own to figure it out. Coworkers were more helpful than managers on a daily basis.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to speak to your employees and ensure they are trained to be successful. Decide on one computer program for all of the employees to use. Having 3+ programs and every division using a different one makes it complicated to find information and effective communicate.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at National Response Corporation full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great people that care about their clients and each other work in the regional offices.

    Cons

Most the people running this company were relevant 15-20 years ago and think the same things that really didn't work then will work now. High pressure on sales to push work on clients that will decide when something needs to be done regardless of any push to "close" the business.

    Advice to Management

Why give anyone incapable of listening useful advice?

I worked at National Response Corporation

    Pros

    Steady work, and decent benefits.

    Cons

There was a mass exodus when the company was purchased a couple of years ago. The motivation is gone now, and so is all of the talent.

    Advice to Management

Hurry up and sell this place so it can be restructured and become a desired work place again.

Former Employee - General Manager in Pembroke, NH

I worked at National Response Corporation full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

local management does care and try to help and take care of their employees

    Cons

I was lucky enough to be given a salary under the original company before merger. As a mid to upper management level employee I was met with road blocks and multiple levels of managerial push back on most daily decisions. There was very little support from above. Pay raises were non existent for lower level employees. They put cost savings above and beyond quality of work or building new business. The local... management is not given the tools or resources to keep good employees.

    Advice to Management

Take input from others. Make decisions based on what is best for the overall business not personal relationships. Pay your employees in a way that bolsters them to go above and beyond.
