I worked at National Staffing Solutions full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

This was my first travel position and I became connected with a phenomenal recruiter. She was an advocate and addressed my questions and concerns immediately. My initial experience for the 11 months I was there were very positive.

    Cons

In June 2018, I went through the steps of obtaining a license in MN, signed the contract and never heard another word from my recruiter. I can only surmise that the contract fell through but that this has yet to be confirmed nor have I received any reimbursement for the licensure process. I’ve made multiple attempts to connect with this now ghost recruiter to no avail. This company deserted me with no explanation!!

    Advice to Management

Communication is imperative and should be a priority between the nurse and the recruiter. For me, being upfront about changes is a sign of integrity!!!

    Pros

    Very accommodating to family priorities/emergencies.
Large company but maintains that "small company culture."
    Work hard/play hard environment.
    Average age 26-30 years old.
    Laid back dress code.
Tons of company engagement events (field day, potlucks, holiday celebrations, etc.)
Located close to the University of Central Florida for networking and recruiting.

    Cons

Located on a busy road with multiple school zones.
Difficult to find with google maps.
Aggressive/fast-paced environment can sometimes be overwhelming.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Pros

National Staffing is a great place to work and organically grow with the company. Tremendous opportunity for those that work hard and provide the merit for promotion into various positions in the multiple verticals that it staffs.

Company culture is bar none. Fantastic place to be and excited for the future!

    Cons

No b.s. or fluff I candidly have no cons to offer. People here care about the successes of one another and that is rare to find.

    Advice to Management

Continue investing in your people, great people make great companies and I can't wait to see where we are in a few years!

I worked at National Staffing Solutions full-time

    Pros

Fast growing with great opportunities to make good money. Great training, fun work environment and everyone is willing to lend a helping hand!

    Cons

management, growing too fast- I was told training would take about 3 weeks then could start recruiting my own clients that would count towards my own commission. Well some JR recruits were there for over 7 months still passing off clients with potential commission earnings to SR recruiters. Also, its a corporate "Check All The Boxes" type job- working smarter not harder does not apply.

    Advice to Management

My best advice would be to get ONE system for all data info and input. I would also suggest generating statistics on your "placements"- This would help give new hires a REALISTIC timeframe of training. It would also help with marketing, help as a possible benefit to potential recruits ("why chose NSS!" Especially when there are HUNDREDS of recruiting companies doing the exact same). I would also suggest showing less of the personal relationship and more of a professional relationship when management to management are acting in front of their employees. Very casual environment is a plus...but I believe the management should always act in a professional manner- not a casual personal manner.

    Pros

Great company to work for, you find a family here. I've enjoyed my time here immensely. You have the potential to make great money.

    Cons

Training needs work, better guidance is needed if you are struggling. The managers are drowned in work and can't invest in you. Headcount focus rather than money made for the company.

    Advice to Management

Hire a corporate trainer to help manage teams and train. It's too much of a stretch for Senior Recruiters.
