    Pros

    You will receive a bonus.

    Cons

You are treated like a toddler, you are forced to take tests to move on or to receive a promotion and being treated equally is not or ever going to happen. Please be aware if you are 10 seconds over you lunch break because of having to use the restroom, you are in trouble. If you do not take the Series 6, you are shunned. And lastly, if you do not take as many calls as you physically can, you get deducted from the "score card". Trust me, its a prison.

    Advice to Management

Remember, we are college graduates, we see and hear everything. Everyone should be treated equal and please do not keep forcing recent college graduates to feel like they have to take a test to succeed.

I worked at Nationwide Financial full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, nice people, great work environment. Somewhat flexible when you have to leave early for appointments etc if your manager likes you. Everyone was very supportive of each other.

    Cons

New cubicles are too short, lots of talent lost when Nationwide started taking over everything. Promotions are few and far between. No recognition for personal performance. If you are good at what you do they load you up and let others coast. Very little job training but they offer outside classes for AIC/CPCU.

    Advice to Management

Stop avoiding change. Change is usually better. Stop promoting people above the level of their competency.

I have been working at Nationwide Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Sponsor you to get your FINRA series 6
-Good benefits. 401k, Health, Pension, Dental, Vision, Discounts on phone, and local places

    Cons

    -Base salary low
    -Call center
-Say they care about metrics and performance data but it really has no effect on advancing
-Can't advance unless you know someone and even if you know your stuff you won't advance
-Micromanage. If you don't stick extremely close to your schedule you get scolded
-Hire more contractors to get through statement period and then don't bring them on as employees
-Use the Fortune 100 list to bring in talent, therefore they don't care if you leave because they are constantly getting new applicants

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the go getters, all the people that want to accomplish more, leave and go elsewhere
    Pay more

    Pros

Underground parking, decent on site cafe.

    Cons

Too many impossible projects fall upon the "little guys" for completion, but upper management will not support.

    Advice to Management

Grow a backbone and help the little people to be successful instead of just demanding more and more .................
