I worked at Natomas USD (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Students. Parents. Support staff. Classified staff.

    Cons

All the administrators at district office who are grossly over paid. To the detriment of all other staff.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with the respect they deserve. Listen to the staff on your front lines/sites. They are the staff that deal with students/parents firsthand. They know them. They have a relationship with them. Therefore they can decifer if problem is serious or not. Disregarding their opinion is disrespectful as well as ignorant. Their imput should be carry weight and be valued. Instead of dismissed. If you respected and valued your employees they would be happier and healthier. Thus making whole environment better and more productive.

    Pros

Flexible, pleasant place to work in. Professional coworkers. Pleasant environment.

    Cons

Pay, and the interview for a job already doing. This has happened to me twice. I'm very disappointed.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the substitute people who work there.

    Pros

One of the schools was decent - NP3. the school secretary the Natomas High school was decent, Roze (at least she tried)

    Cons

Waaaay overpopulated schools. No consequences for the students behavior wise, which sets them up for failure later in life...because sooner or later they will have to "face the music" so to speak for their actions...by the time they learn their lesson it will be too late (for some of them).

    Advice to Management

I honestly can't think of any advice to give to management besides: resign and give the position to someone who actually cares about the well being and future of our nation (a.k.a., our young people)

I have been working at Natomas USD full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is lots of interaction with children, one-on-one and in a small group setting. Most of the teachers are great to work with and for.

    Cons

There was little to no guidance from the higher ups. I was never introduced or met with my supervisor and frankly, couldn't tell you who was supervising me. I had no one that I could ask questions to as my position was unique and was the only position like it in the organization. I was moved around a lot with little to no warning.

I have been working at Natomas USD part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people. This district provides outstanding support to it's staff, both administrative and faculty. The hours are really good as well.

    Cons

Low pay and sometimes inconsistent scheduling. When a substitute is required for multiple days (consecutive), it would be in the best interest of the classroom (students) to schedule the same instructor.

I worked at Natomas USD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Staff is friendly and welcoming. Great benefits.

    Cons

Didn't seem to have a lot of room for growth. I was hired believing I would have a job for quite a while, but was laid off after only two years, when they terminated the position. Very disappointing.
