I have been working at Natural Resource Technology full-time

    Pros

NRT is incredibly dedicated to employee development and a healthy work-life balance. NRT is involved with large, complex, and exciting environmental projects. Additionally, NRT is well-positioned in its pursuit of new clients and industries. I can't think of any other companies this size that are involved with this type of project work. It's a unique place to work--small company atmosphere, big company project work.

    Cons

Operations support is not on the same level as the professional efforts. In particular, the company continues to struggle with data management. Numerous efforts to improve, including large efforts ongoing at the time of this review, have failed to succeed. This is partially the result of the company's unwillingness or inability to bring in adequate resources externally, relying on incapable internal resources.

    Advice to Management

Continue the course with respect to business development. Keep striving to maintain the NRT culture as the company grows. Seek opportunities to sincerely improve operations support and data management. The latter, in particular, will be critical to keeping up with growth and the pursuit of new opportunities.

    Pros

Direct deposit, insurance, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k but poorly managed.

    Cons

Senior management and a culture of incestuous relationships. The lack of support for new and innovative ideas will continue to prohibit NRT's growth technically and put them further behind their competitors.

    Advice to Management

Be honest about bonuses. Consider paying straight time overtime like the rest of the industry. Switch to a bi-weekly pay period.

I have been working at Natural Resource Technology full-time

    Pros

The people are Natural Resource Technology's "pro", there is a great mix of strong leadership, intelligent technical minds, and enthusiastic/optimistic coworkers.

    Cons

As with all companies, Natural Resource Technology has opportunities to improve internal communication and to be transparent with vision, values, and principals. Their commitment to leadership development has taken operations well beyond industry norms and they continue to grow.

    Pros

Excellent work environment and wonderful group of supberb professionals!

    Cons

Weak H/R department inter personal skills.

    Advice to Management

Too much power and control was put in the hands of one person, the office manager that knew nothing about I.T. and expected unrealistic results resulted in the lack of productive level of communication with the I.T. department and productive efficient completion of he I.T. project.

I have been working at Natural Resource Technology full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

NRT is committed to professional development. They work hard to make sure employees are well rounded and get to work on projects they are interested in. The people are great, friendly, and some of the top scientist, geologists, and engineers in the Environmental Consulting Industry.

    Cons

NRT uses Profit Sharing over direct overtime for salary employees.

    Advice to Management

Continue on the current path. I'm very impressed with the leadership and direction of the company.
