Great starting location for those hoping to start with a products company. This is a small feel corporate although the company has seen revenues exceed $400M. The departments are not too large, such that it would cause someone to feel lost in the numbers. This company sits on a platform of effecting change and trying to better the nutritional impact of its consumers, while monitoring its footprint being left on the environment. This company strives to grow properly without compromising its initiatives. This company is truly a gem hidden outside the busy street of Silicon Valley and would be a great place for undergrad professionals looking to get there feet wet.
Lack of Sr. Management Mentoring the "bright stars" in the professional ranks. Although this company is a great place to start, there seems to be a low ceiling for fast rising stars. Some of the Sr. Managers have been in the produce industry their entire career and struggle to see Earthbound as a $400MM consumer goods company that has diversified outside of produce. This short sided view has lead to the loss of some key rising stars in the company that head back to the valley to expand their career paths. The company is sound and performs well, but there is a lack of mentoring that takes place there.
