I have been working at Nature's Sunshine full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

    Fair Salary, Good PTO benefits,

    Cons

Poor quality Health Insurance. Recent Layoffs

    Advice to Management

There was a re structuring in corporate management recently and the new management seems to really care about employees. Caring about your employees should be a top priority

I have been working at Nature's Sunshine full-time

    Pros

    Good quality coworkers, Generous PTO

    Cons

Current CEO is gutting the company to prop up profits, health insurance premiums were recently increased 175% .

    Advice to Management

You are taking away all of the reason that anyone would want to work at NSP. Recent layoffs have everyone working extra hours to pick up the slack. Then you increase insurance premiums essentially taxing your employees $2400 additional annually. This is going on when sales have increased 10% and profits are up. With cash increasing on the balance sheet. I hate to see the blood bath if sales or profits were down. Avoid...

    Pros

Holds management responsible for project out comes. But when you see some leave in the middle of a project, it may be time for you to leave.

    Cons

Have had a couple of reductions in workforce in the past 5 years

    Advice to Management

You need to fight to keep your hard workers and they will make you look good. You don't have to agree but at least have a dialog with them. For young managers look to improve your management as much as you do your technical resumes

    I worked at Nature's Sunshine full-time

    Pros

    Some benefits, PTO, N/A, N/A

    Cons

The company has laid off 50 and more people last week without any remorse or preparation for them. That’s 50+ people that have to provide for their families and mortgage/bills to pay. The company has a new CEO, who has lack of directions and is just firing people left and right rather than fixing what’s broken. The company has no vision and will probably continue this downward spiral. It is extremely despicable & heartless...

I worked at Nature's Sunshine full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

They are operating pretty lean right now, so there is job security (they can't afford to lose anyone else). Benefits and pay are decent.

    Cons

If you are looking at these posts because you are thinking of working here, run away. The company is managed terribly, both from the perspective of employees as well as customers. Executives have employees focusing on meaningless projects and initiatives while all the actual problems are ignored. You will be micromanaged to the point of destroying all the initiative you once had. Data and basic economic principles...

    Advice to Management

Quit the combative approach to managing the company with your fellow executives and work on collaborating to fix the deep fundamental problems that Natures Sunshine has.

I have been working at Nature's Sunshine full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Work-life balance is solid The product is great (4-5 stars on Amazon) The culture is pretty decent

    Cons

Senior leadership is absolutely clueless. They are so focused on climbing the corporate ladder that they have lost sight of driving the business. They are super toxic and prefer to micro-manage subject matter experts even though they don't have any experience in the subject matter. Unfortunately, if this leadership is able to stay in their current roles, I think it's a matter of time before the company dies.

    Advice to Management

Clean house, remove senior leadership from their positions ASAP. Several key people that are new to their roles are looking for other positions outside of Nature's Sunshine because they don't believe in the ability of the leadership to correct the ship.

I worked at Nature's Sunshine full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

The pay was competitive and the health insurance was good.

    Cons

Toxic culture, lots of people blaming others for any reduction in performance, even if it was outside of the control of the department in question.

    Advice to Management

Clean house and get rid of all the toxic mid- and upper-level managers.
