    Pros

    Can't think of one good thing

    Cons

    no leadership-interim CEO, and upper management is distrustful. HR took vacation time away from employees, while management gets unlimited vacation time. Employees are fearful, and treated like sheep. No work/life balance. Employees are not utilized to their fullest potential nor appreciated. Communication is non-existent.

    Advice to Management

    Employees are people, not just pawns for the shareholders (who might also be employees).

    I worked at Navarre full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    good location? Easy to commute if your in the South Metro.

    Cons

    The company has been sold twice in one year. The staff is cut in half every time there is a purchase. Everyone is expendable and they treat you as such. I don't foresee this company being in business longer than a year.

    Advice to Management

    look for new jobs.

    Pros

    I don't have to work there anymore and I didn't buy their nose diving stock.

    Cons

    Disorganized sales group that have no clue what they were doing.

    Advice to Management

    Try something else like mowing the lawn. Its about your Speed. No pun

    Pros

    In the early days, it was a family atmosphere. Pay was good for the work. Made some good friends while working there. The work was challenging, even during the lean years.

    Cons

    Siloed organization with a rumor mill that is as damaging as the current culture. The organization runs lean and mean, which can be good and bad, but when communication is as bad as it is now, it is tough to understand priorities. There is little or no advancement potential. Hiring practices in recent years seemed to favor hiring to create a culture, not to bring in the best possible person to do the job. Most people walk on eggshells and are legitimately concerned about their futures.

    Advice to Management

    Communication must improve. Remove the rumor mill that alienates staff. Wholesale changes must take place to improve the company culture - it just isn't a fun place to work and considering the business Navarre is in, that is sad. It should be fun.

    Friendly environment and great team.

    Pros

    Casual work environment, flexible schedule.

    Cons

    Downsizing raises concern over job, morale is getting bad

    Advice to Management

    Stop playing favorites, promote on merit.

    Pros

    Great bunch of people
    Very clear expectations
    Management was responsive and ready to help when vendor/client issues were escalated

    Cons

    Layoffs - I blame the economy more than the company, though. It's easy to understand why layoffs have to happen, but sad to see our jobs shipped out of the country. I loved working at this company, would have stayed indefinitely had the layoffs not occurred.

    Advice to Management

    Keep jobs in the U.S. - it may cost more, but domestic staff can provide better service to domestic customers.

    Pros

    Comradery was part of the company in the sales department. It was like a second family whom made you feel comfortable.

    Cons

    Advancement opportunities within the company are difficult if you are not in the inner circle. Also, the work life balance can be very outrageous during the Holiday season since it's a company based on retail.

    Pros

    The company culture was this company's best asset. Fun, exciting industry to be a part of and work in. Co-workers were like family.

    Cons

    Too many closed door meetings, too many rounds of lay offs. Upper management was not interested in you, but rather where their stock price was at for the day.

    Advice to Management

    Keep the doors open and lines of communication open to the people who are not in management. Hiring new employees fresh out of college that do not require as much salary are not always your best option when this company was built on customer loyalty and trust.
