    Pros

Company full of smart, driven individuals who work hard& smart for the most part. Always on the cutting edge and every individual in the company has the opportunity to contribute and learn new technologies. With clear mission& vision, excellent place to work if you are driven and enjoy a fast paced and rewarding career with excellent upside potential. I like it how performance is rewarded with increased responsibilities and awards. The company is truly Client Centric and continue to strive toward a better personalized client experience in all aspects. Strong bias for innovation and out-of-the-box thinking, tends to ignore title/position -- anyone can invent and automate! Successful implementation of Scaled Agile Methodology continuously empowering the employees to make a decision! Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies.

    Cons

Not for everyone--you need to be smart, hard working, innovative and independent. No tolerance for under performers.

    Advice to Management

Keep working on career development and making it easier for people who join to grow and be successful.

    - Cookies that were available to grab during Sales meetings.
    - Lots of places around datacenter to get away from people.

      of the merger.

    Pros

PTO is pretty good, 401k match is pretty good, choices of insurance but is expensive

    Cons

Management is in total disarray. There is no career path for individuals.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget, sales is not the only group that works there. They get sell the product but engineering builds and supports it.

    Pros

    NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE!

    Cons

EVERYTHING! Especially the Managing Dictator (Director)! If I could rate lower, I would. The partially positive ratings you see out on Glassdoor were essentially forced by management.

    Advice to Management

    Fire the Managing Dictator!

    Pros

401K is the only monitory pros. Lots of good workers but reaching their limit with the incompetent management .

    Cons

Incompetent management. If you are a yes man, you may survive. We have seen directors and Sr. managers let go because they voiced their opinion. No more work life balance does not exist anymore. expected to work 24/7 at all times. If you decide to join this company after all the warning signs, my advice to keep your head down and accept slavery.
The one with the review as a good company and happy environment, you must be working for a different company

    Advice to Management

Advice to Charter, Spectrum Enterprise, Start your house cleanup from the top. Never in my career have I seen incompetent people being hired in top positions for personal relation with top management

    Pros

I worked with great people over the years.

    Cons

Services are late to market and not fully baked. Two acquisitions have left the employees in a state of inertia and the current processes in turmoil.

    Advice to Management

Find a profitable focus for the organization and lead the company in that direction.

I have been working at NaviSite full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - 401K match is good, paid time off.
    - free time at work so the day passes quick, the 90/10 rule applies
    - automating operations focus for an engineer less data center.
    - expense card to expense things like lunches dinners when you like
    - if your in the management tier this place is 5 star
    - parent company has deep pockets despite low\no growth rate

    Cons

    - quota should be tied to realistic revenue growth.
    - needle hasn't moved base revenues in five years but quotas keep increasing.
    - gaps in key positions, lost skills
    - power plays spread negativity
    - teach the offshore team some english, its hard to understand them
    - depressing to see empty floors way more offshore staff here than locals
    - offshore staff needs to speak in english and keep their volume low
    - hard to get hold of people unscheduled, scheduled meetings won't guarantee attendance
    - customers leaving due to outages and their experiences
    - culture of fear, everyone's cagey
    - new management seem to have no data center experience to build on
    - management doesn't believe in problem ownership, only pushing the data center automation agenda
    - fiscally irresponsible, questionable work ethics
    - apparent politics leading to team riffs
    - clueless engineers prioritizing dc automation over managing customer environments, coding to fast replace their jobs
    - some overworked others have a great time depends which team your on.
    - survey customers if you don't believe the front line.

    Advice to Management

Management in a bubble has an impact on the business, customers and employees. Issues like implementation delays, service delivery, customer outages cross platform, lack of engineering expertise require attention. Credits won't make customers spend more, reduce quotas instead of increasing them. Organisations a mess.

    Pros

The workers - They all care about the company on the companies clients. They try very hard in difficult situations.

    Cons

Management is getting very top heavy. Navigate is hiring many VPs, Directors and Managers, but no one to do the actual work required. Also, the company is in is second round of re-orgs with the current management in place. This makes people believe that their direction is still not very clear and changing themselves.

    Advice to Management

Contant re-orgs create instability. You do it, get it over with an move on. You can't keep re-orging, it make you look like you have no clue how to turn this company around. Also, you need to recognize that people are your biggest assets. This is not the NE Patriots where its always the next man up. You need to treat your people a lot better then they are treated now. Once mistake, no matter how big, and they are looking to fire you. This is NOT a way to run a business. Also, career opportunities used to exist all over at Navisite, that is no longer the case. Once hired for a position, thats what you have, FOREVER.

I have been working at NaviSite full-time

    Pros

Navisite classic employees are hardworking and are like family with each other.

    Cons

It is an awful place to work, at Navisite, the "new" management is arbitrarily firing people who have dedicated their careers to Navisite and sacrificed family events, vacations and the like to work on behalf of Navisite (and its customers) and they are randomly let go. We are letting good people go every week and it is feared amongst the employees that remain that the management team is mentally unstable. HR seems not to even be involved in some of the meetings with employees that are being let go.
Navisite keeps hiring management level and has no resources to actually do the work this new management team aspires to do.
Customers are dropping like flies and major outages occur nearly everyday due to the lack of resources to complete required efforts to support the infrastructure.
If you aren't on the favorite list of the management team (the list is primarily of themselves), you are literally ignored and treated like you don't exist and your inputs are also disregarded.

    Advice to Management

Probably time for Sumeet to go.
