    Pros

I had to rotate through several firms to find somewhere like this. Of course, as with any big firm, experiences vary by practice, geography and reporting line.

    - Excellent people -- healthcare leadership are true industry experts and bring fantastic networks
    - Commitment to mentorship and professional development (if you seek it)
    - Entrepreneurial and open to change (if you put in the effort)
    - Meritocratic and willing to promote
    - Flexibility and work-life balance (people actually stay and have families)
    - Strong healthcare brand with favorable exit opportunities

    Cons

    - Limited opportunity for growth in base compensation without promotion
    - Incentive compensation structure is rigid and completely demotivating
    - Inherent shortsightedness of a publicly traded organization
    - Hodgepodge of businesses fit to a single operating model

    Advice to Management

    - Provide greater autonomy to Practices to reward the A-team
    - Keep up the good work

    Pros

Collaborative company with many talented young people. Communication with your managing director is important for getting on the best projects.

    Cons

This firm's consultants are not as technologically inclined as others. However, that can be a positive because they are in need of people who can code.

    Advice to Management

Start focusing on hiring people with technical skills. Navigant seems to be behind the curve on this and it will be important for staying relevant in the future.
