I worked at Ncaa full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Can meet some really awesome people; add-on benefits are nice. Plenty of vacation/time-off. There are good departments to be in and bad ones - and they all evolve over a period of several years. Get into a "good department," put your time in, then move on before the politics kick in (they inevitably do).

    Cons

Can meet some people that are as dirty and vacant as a career politician; don't expect to get raises beyond inflation-rate unless you're really good at kissind behind; intelligence doesn't matter, as long as your degree matches slightly better and you've played the trump cards on connections, prior sucking up.

    Advice to Management

I would only give advice to management if they paid me. I poured out enough effort there for unfair compensation.

I have been working at Ncaa full-time

    Pros

It's college sports - and the potential to impact student-athletes in a positive way.

    Cons

The organization was once a great place to work. But it's downright depressing these days, as people are leaving in droves. There is no leadership, no vision. And the work of the staff is under-appreciated by management.

    Advice to Management

Quit reorganizing departments and focus on providing value to the membership.
