I worked at Nebraska Wesleyan University as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexibility in schedule
    Reasonable salary
    Room and opportunities for growth

    Cons

Working in the admissions department requires you to stay late and occasionally work evenings in order to reach prospective students on the phone.

I worked at Nebraska Wesleyan University (More than a year)

    Pros

Good environment, they seem to care about the students and wellbeing of the faculty as long as they are not discussing about money.

    Cons

Relatively low salaries compared with other universities/industry but I think they try to do the bes with what they have.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Nebraska Wesleyan University part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

NWU prides itself on making a community of its workers and students and I felt a sense of belonging there that I have rarely felt working professionally. The staff is professional yet warm and inviting and the overall sense is that you want to contribute more and be a part of the excitement on campus.

    Cons

The university is still quite small compared with other organizations in the area (e.g. SCC and UNL) which may contribute to lower pay, however the work life balance makes up for this

    Advice to Management

Bear in mind some administrative staff would like opportunities to advance, and as yet some of these positions provide little growth availability
