I worked at Neiman Marcus (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits with follow up from the Human Resource department. As a manager, not asked to invest too many hours. Nice environment to work in.

    Cons

With brick and mortar going extinct, the numbers of new clientele is dwindling. As a food and beverage manager, there is less and less opportunity to advance and often the store executives are not knowledgeable in the hospitality industry.

    Advice to Management

Take individual meetings with the in-house public relation department as often as you can and finalize all events as quickly as possible. Concentrate on building personal relationships with all repeat restaurant clientele and do the same during events.
