I worked at Neiman Marcus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Clinical that allow you to see new collections before they are released to the public. and seasonal discounts.

    Cons

They have the business structured in such a way that you never truly make connections with the people you work with and for. You are falsely motivated to make sales for $10 or $20... while the managers make $100-$1000 off of every credit line you open for them.

    Advice to Management

Give a more free clothes and better incentives!!

I worked at Neiman Marcus as an intern

    Pros

Overall great exposure to the cyber security world. Worked on many different areas of cyber security, and got to sit in on a lot of meetings. If you are a college student seeking some cyberworld exposure or just some plain business world experience, please apply!

    Cons

There were times where there wasn't much to do, and the supervisors are always very busy, so it was hard for them to find stuff for you to work on.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Neiman Marcus full-time

    Pros

Working for the only luxury retailer left in San Diego provided exposure to the who's who in America's finest city. In addition , I had worked for GAC for six years at Saks prior to Saks closing in San Diego . The Armani woman is always understated and elegant . I can honestly say I have yet to become as passionate about another makeup brand as I was for Giorgio Armani Beauty.

    Cons

Neiman Marcus plays very dirty. My first couple years were stellar and I maintained my rockstar status until our only competitor in the mall started selling GAC

    Advice to Management

value your associates who are passionate about the products they sell for YOU . Get rid of the old school scare tactics with the hourly employee. Nobody wins
