    Pros

The discount. you meet some very interesting people. Some managers actually care about your career they will do anything to help you succeed

    Cons

the executive team walka around like they are shoppers nose in the air. They act like they are to good to help you or good to say good morning and have the most negative energy.

    Advice to Management

corporate should re-evaluate all their managers and associates. Some managers are great others are lazy all they do is sit in the office all day! And release the economy has changed so make sales goals more acheivable.

    Pros

The best thing about Niemans is interacting and building Clientele. Also another pro is the discount of course.

    Cons

There's not much to really hate here except it can get really fast paced at time. Other than that I love it

    Advice to Management

The only advice I could give management is better organizational skills. Also, management needs to somehow get better merchandise in this store.

I worked at Neiman Marcus full-time

    Pros

Professional environment with opportunities for personal growth. A positive attitude goes a long way in this company.

    Cons

Lack of clear policy guidelines can make producing good work product a challenge. Not a lot of opportunity for professional growth within the company.

    Advice to Management

Store executives should crack down on associates who are disrespectful to managers and other sales and non-sales associates. No client list is large enough to warrant rude behavior both on an off the sales floor.

    Pros

I know with my experience I can bring sales to the company and customer service . With all my knowledge of labels and going to trade show at the javitz my product knowledge is on point

    Cons

In working in a commission base company , people are very competitive. But I feel there is enough to go around and if you good st what you do , you should have a problem.

    Advice to Management

Training is key , and product knowledge is also key . Look at magazines to get your fashion sense and if you can go to fashion shows.

Very low compensation compared to other industries
Highest amount for annual merit increase is 3%
    No room for growth
Catty and snobby behavior from female work environment
Budget is so low that they don't hold any sponsored company events (no company Christmas parties or happy hours)
