I have been working at Nellson full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Company is growing creating many opportunities for internal employees . The Anaheim location is an excellent work environment with a new employee break area, ample parking, fitness center and many new Wellness initiatives for its employees.

    Cons

There are some improvements that can be made in Benefits such as a shorter 401k vesting period and the delay in new employee eligibility for healthcare.

    Advice to Management

Continue to work on Work Life Balance issues to reach the goal of being a "Great place to work."

I worked at Nellson full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a pretty easy job to get. Require drug test and you’re basically working the next day. Lots of hours.

    Cons

It is a low skill job so you will be doing manual work. It is not hard at all but just repetitive. A lot of Hispanic workers, which is not a bad thing, but you’ll have to find people that speak English.

    Advice to Management

    Need to be better organized.

I have been working at Nellson full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A lot of opportunity is given to move up in the company.

    Cons

HR only cares about their budget, and does not do whatever it takes to keep strong performers. Because of that our talent is moving on quickly and turnover is high.

    Advice to Management

    Work on your hiring process.

I worked at Nellson full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

NONE.Don't accept job offer!!! Lower end of salary and benefits.

    Cons

Extremely High Employee turnover in every department of the company!
People are nothing but numbers for the management!
Heavy work load with negligible pay increase. Worked as R&D but was expected to work as production. Operation is in really bad shape.
The V.P. would fire people left and right. Operations had no credibility. No vision.
    No opportunity to grow.
Very poor communication within the organization.
Absolutely No communication when people get hired or fired.
Sales guys are not friendly at all and are back stabbers.
Hard work is not appreciated. No career growth opportunity offered.
I had to work 60-70 hrs a week.... had to work every other weekend....ridiculous! No Work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Managers need to do their part and lead....not just throw people under the bus. Stop giving people below you hard time!!! Learn to work with them as team. Don't be selfish. Managers need to stop micro managing, give people their own space to grow their skills.

I have been working at Nellson full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people are the best part of working for this company. The site leadership team (Anaheim) has a good working dynamic and treat each other and their direct reports with dignity and respect.
The workforce is dedicated, knowledgeable and proud of their work.
Growth, growth, growth...great industry to work in and business poised for success.

    Cons

The business is growing at a rapid pace. The systems and technology to support the growth is lagging....BUT, being implemented. Due to the growth, there are a lot of business challenges (and rewards). This company is not the place for someone who is looking to coast. It's ideal for people who are looking to roll up their sleeves and get to work. People who take pride in their achievements. There are a lot of opportunities for individuals with good ideas.

    Advice to Management

Hire first for attitude and cultural fit as well as skills/knowledge/abilities. The job, in most instances, can be learned.
Don't hoard good talent...promote and share your resources. Limiting a hi-potential associate risks losing the talent.
    Lead by example.
