Thank you for your feedback. NeoSystems is continuing to gain market share and has just been named 5000 fastest growing private companies for a record 7 consecutive year. Less than 3% of companies ... More

    "Little to no direction"

I worked at NeoSystems Corp. (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of responsibility, sink or swim environment

    Cons

Finger pointing downhill, management has no real direction or plan for services, you are expected to run your own line of business with little to no help from admin or executives. When things dont go well, they resort to more layoffs, 3 layoffs in 10 months while I was there. OUCH.

    Advice to Management

Open your doors, stop blaming your workforce for your management and sales issues.

    Pros

    Open door policy.
    Decent Fringe benefit.
    Friendly and pleasant environment.
    Telecomuting

    Cons

Heavily focused in Deltek. Attempts to diversify ERP offerings are stifled by ineffective Sr management policies and lack of non Deltek sales experts.

    Advice to Management

Get rid if the dead weight in your sales and marketing teams.

"Great atmosphere however lack of vision and flaws in procedures are a set up for failure."

I worked at NeoSystems Corp. full-time

    Pros

Start up type environment with open door policy with everyone seemingly willing to help with any questions. Good benefits package and paid leave policy. "Social" hour every Friday that's usually catered to give everyone a chance to converse. The VP level of management (MITS department especially) has previous managerial experience and clearly knows how to manage in a helpful manner.

    Cons

Seemingly NO growth potential. Training is slim to non-existent apart from how to use the ticketing system or the formats for the very many portals with multiple different login credentials. Slow to get you permissions so you can actually do your job and if initiative is shown, be ready to be shut out as anything you do already has a place or delegated employee. So either be prepared to branch outside of your job description to help out in other areas which is a welcomed change of scenery or be bored at your desk which, if seen, is frowned upon and somehow it's YOUR fault you cant touch anything due to lack of permissions. No clear vision for a progression path within the company as it is a growing company with certain areas. There seems to be a big presence of office politics within the company. Lack of accountability. The company is not young and should have these kinks worked out by now. With all this said, you are basically set up in a position to fail.

    Advice to Management

Seek improvements in procedure, diligence, and structure. If this seemingly sink or swim method is applied, be sure to provide adequate tools to "swim" rather than allow someone to fail. With a company of <200 employees, that notion could easily cause a disastrous ripple effect all the way up to the top. I sincerely wish the company the best but as with the other reviews on the web being on par with this one, I don't see it being around much longer unless real change and consideration is made.

I have been working at NeoSystems Corp. full-time

    Pros

Great people, wide range of clients and jobs. Pretty good infrastructure and software to do your job. Okay pay scale, modest bonuses. Management seems to care, most of the time… Happy hour on Friday is good, but then drinking makes everything better, by the way, the benefits are also good and included addiction treatment…

    Cons

That good software, way to many passwords and an IT staff that is over worked. Not really good training on the software tools, more or less left to figure stuff out on your own... some groups, like the guy running consulting thinks the universe revolves around him...

    Advice to Management

Streamline the IT stuff, not so many passwords, and record some training on the different products we are expected to use. And see if you can put a leash on the Consulting SVP, that is one person out to protect his kingdom and not think about the best interests of the company…

I have been working at NeoSystems Corp. full-time

    Pros

Friendly and generous management and leadership for the most part. Technology friendly and looking for innovations, even if some are underutilized currently. Benefits are good and so are the events. growth atmosphere provides opportunity to carve niches in what you excel at doing

    Cons

Time off policy is lower than most I have experienced, but the workload is enough that time off isn't possible at times for some. Growth atmosphere has a vision, but sometimes misses the path on how to get there between now and 2020.

    Advice to Management

See other reviewers, but also try and get a more regular feedback loop on management efficacy through the annual performance review process too.
