I worked at Neptune Society (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Small office and nice co-workers.

    Cons

Low pay for the region that I worked in. Not much more than minimum wage for working in a large city on the west coast. This position should be compensated for the area that the job is in.

    Advice to Management

Pay office coordinators based on their locations because you cannot afford this little salary in Seattle.

    Pros

    Cons

Inconsistency with regional and svp leadership. Often times I receive different answers when dealing with the same issue or question.

    Advice to Management

Work on sending a consistent message to the field.

    Pros

Working independently, Interactions with Sales Team.

    Cons

I was working in a funeral home and it was depressing, This was a contract job as the other person had to take a leave of absence.

    Pros

Neptune Society has a great reputation in our community and I am proud to be an integral part of it. I find great reward in helping our families through a difficult time in their lives, which we do everyday. We have all the help we can ask for from our corporate leaders and as well as the proper tools and training to make our office a success! I'm definitely here to stay!

    Cons

I can't really think of any cons to working at Neptune Society. We do stay very busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way

I have been working at Neptune Society (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have been here for a relatively short time, but I felt it was important to post a review regarding the work environment and opportunity that exists in this company. The corporate culture is one of expectations and this makes sense... because what we do is so important. With the strong support of the corporate office, people can maximize their potential and find their WHY in life. If your interests lie in helping families while earning a significant income so you can take care of your family, then this is the place for you.

    Cons

I have yet to uncover any cons to working here. I think sometimes people who are not familiar with what we do are unsure if this is for them.. But once you understand the product and how it can help people during some of the most difficult times, it all makes sense and I wonder why it took me so long to find this amazing career.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing

I worked at Neptune Society full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible hours. Very rewarding to help the families in their time of need. It also nice to work from home and not have to go to the office every day.

    Cons

The upper management is a joke. Very unsupportive and verbally abusive. Very unprofessional management and they expect you to work 60 to 70 hours a week, 6 days a week for no pay. There are bonuses but you will never be able to attain them. The leads are typically all disconnected numbers which makes it impossible to set appointments. After being in the business for several years, I can safely say that this is a terrible company to work for. If you value your work/life balance do not work here. Terrible position to have.

    Advice to Management

Upper management has no experience in the industry and have terrible professional demeanor. Upper management needs to be cleaned out and rehired.

Cone and go as you please. Legal covers Better Business issues that is why we get A+.

    Cons

Hard to move up. Have to be friends with managers or really fawn over exe I give team. Good old boy system. Trying hard to stick to job. HR doesn't help much.

    Advice to Management

Be honest. The locations know the law. The executives don't know all the laws. Listen and quit trying to buy our loyalty. If you are honest and respect is then we will be loyal.

I worked at Neptune Society full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is true that the need for this industry is great, and pre-need sounded very promising in terms of being able to provide a valuable service. Lots of leads for free.

    Cons

Salary promises are unrealistic, training is spotty and unstructured. Leads are old, old, old. Many have been hammered, lots of disconnected numbers. Management unprepared.

    Advice to Management
