I worked at Nespresso full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nespresso is a great company to work for. I made the mistake of resigning and regret it wholeheartedly. Wish I had never done it. Nespresso cares deeply about its employees and the sustainability of the product and farmers. There is no limit to the future of the company. Wish I could return...:(

    Cons

With every changing company, sometimes the changes outrun the pace of the processes being put into place. Therefore, there can be some confusion during the implementation.

    Advice to Management

Keep looking forward. There is no limit!!

    I worked at Nespresso full-time

    Pros

    Great pay
Cross-trained to learn the science behind coffee
Extensive training for the 25 Grand Crus
Trained in a week customer-facing/coffee science class

    Cons

Kronos system, if you couldn't make it to work due to being sick or a circumstance a point would be against you and if accumulated enough, you could be terminated

I worked at Nespresso (More than a year)

    Pros

A very well established specialty Coffee division within the worldwide Nestle Corp.
No coffee company on the planet has utilized technology, sourcing and procurement of its most extensive coffee/espresso product offerings with such consistency and quality worldwide as Nestle's Nespresso division!

    Cons

As with all large corporations, a lacking of effective follow through after communication of immediate day to day operational problems unique to each of its retail installations!

    Advice to Management

A more hands on operational approach from key management positions, regional and district to district! Take a more active listening approach from key talent. Such a broad range of experience and troubleshooting the company could collectively draw and utilize from its retail employees. Bottom to top total quality management while executing real time solutions. Only possible with a real time accessible IT portal. A need for much improvement in the US market. The goal of course, establishing a larger share of boutique specialty coffee/espresso and related products for both key markets, retail and industrial!

I have been working at Nespresso part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free Coffee Machines
    Nestle Benefits
    Paid Time Off

    Cons

Managers at Nespresso have no respect for employees time and personal. You never leave on time, they expect you to come to work on time but you can't leave on time, they need to understand that your life does not revolve around Nespresso., you have a personal life that you need to take care of. Management if extremely unprofessional, the new Store Manager interviewed someone wearing T-Shirt and jeans, barely look at the employees when she walks into a room. So unprofessional !!!
Were always short staff because they can't keep their staff. The former manager from the bar loves to gossip about the employees. To make matters worse you have to make cappuccinos and lattes for customer, as if you're a barista, the amount of free loaders that comes to the tasting bar is enormous, these people know nothing about what it means to have a luxury retail store.

    Advice to Management

Change management, and stop promoting people based on friendship.

    Pros

Great benefits for full-time employees including 401K matching, provided uniforms and dry-cleaning
    Rapidly growing company
    amazing coworkers
opportunity to work with a very diverse group

    Cons

room for growth is limited in retail area
often managers are overworked and overstressed while retail employees are kept at part-time hours

I worked at Nespresso part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers and clientele is a pleasure to serve. A product that one can promote feeling good about the quality and the company's sustainability policies.

    Cons

As with most retail positions the schedule is constantly changing so it is hard to plan one's non-work time more than a week in advance.

    Pros

Extremely generous with benefits, salary and bonuses. Many opportunities to grow within the company.

    Cons

Growing very quickly provides a challenge in communication. However, town hall meetings and department collaboration has improved this greatly.
