I have been working at Nest Fragrances full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Summer Party is great, free products, fresh food stocked in the office for all employees, good vacation and paid time off

    Cons

Upper management does not have a cohesive vision for the brand and has been restaffed a few times recently. Favoritism does have significant impact in the work environment. Health benefits need to be improved for womens needs

    Pros

I learned a lot and will always be grateful for my time here. It smells amazing, and the product is wonderful. Relatively inclusive and professional management will allow you to take on new projects and grow.

I have been working at Nest Fragrances full-time for more than a year

    Pros

People are really great at what they do and are generous in welcoming new people into the company. More professionalism and process than you'd expect from a growing company.

    Cons

There have been many positive changes to create a more flexible workplace, but still do not offer the option to work from home! Everyone would really appreciate that. (We do have summer Friday's though)

I worked at Nest Fragrances full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The company was founded on great ideals with great products. The founder, Laura Slatkin, clearly loves and believes in the brand, and her passion catches on with many of the old guard and the new. It is also located in a great Midtown area.

    Cons

People are underpaid and overworked, and to hire actual quality employees (i.e. to be willing to pay for them) had been like pulling teeth. Many under-performing individuals were let go, which is good. Many high-performing individuals were driven away, which is bad. I watched great talent walk away because of one or two highly toxic executives who are still there. The former COO and an original employee has walked. A valued longtime finance executive, also. Strong and passionate sales leaders, a very smart e-commerce leader, PR staff, arts staff... There is little care for career development and for its people, and in the past couple years the new CEO has changed the company for the worse.
