I have been working at Nestlé Purina full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Purina is a great place to work! Employees are provided with a variety of training and development opportunities and the company really cares about your career aspirations and encourages you to stretch yourself, grow and move into other roles if you desire to do so. Teams are collaborative and fun and while it is amazing to be able to bring pets to work, it is the people who really make this a great place to work. ...

    Cons

Sometimes the Nestle world headquarters can be very slow, process heavy and a bit too focused on standardization through NBE.

    Advice to Management

Really appreciate the strong focus on "Agility" and the many ways Management communicates with employees to maintain alignment!

I have been working at Nestlé Purina full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

The site is a great place to work. There is an excellent work life balance. My supervisor cares about my future. I enjoy the company trying to grow my skills. They invest in not only current tasks but also in skills I can use in my future.

    Cons

Like all teams we have some team members that are negative. The company is trying to address the "bad eggs" but it can't happen fast enough. These people make the days unproductive.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for listening - keep working with us

I have been working at Nestlé Purina full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Pay is great for the job. Company store is a plus with cheap items made by Nestle brands.

    Cons

Con Ops 12 hour shift schedule is bad. Productivity would be much better on a traditional shift or 10 hour shifts at least. Warehouse atmosphere is horrible, no music, constant complainers and miserable "senior" co-workers. Production plant gets most of the attention and mixing center gets thrown on the back burner. We were told months ago by mixing center management they were going to look into the schedule but have...

    Advice to Management

Get rid of this "con ops" scheduling. Actually listen to your employees that have been in other warehouse/distribution centers for new ideas. The process in this warehouse is from the Jurassic period.

Thank you for your feedback on compensation, scheduling and other benefits. It sounds like you’re satisfied with pay and other perks, but the schedule could be improved. The 12-hour schedule was implemented based on employee feedback, however, know that your comments will be shared ...

    Cons

Typcial things with a publicly owned company, not a lot of control over what the key investors want to have happen.

I have been working at Nestlé Purina full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

You get to work with amazing people, work life balance is encouraged, bring your dog to work, many opportunities for development, emphasis on diversity and inclusion, great benefits, good work environment, it feels like the company has a sense of purpose to do good and that’s really cool to be a part of

    Cons

Open work environment takes getting used to and prefer more privacy for phone calls and meeting with people. Compensation isn’t as competitive as some companies but it’s still a great overall place considering the pros.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in the business and your people. You’ve done a great job leveraging your unique culture and continue to foster that as more tenured people retire. Share what Purina is doing with broader Nestle so they can learn from you.

Challenging work, friendly environment, tons of professional development resources, some of the nicest, most sincere people around! Pros

Nestle Purina is going through trying times as large consumer packaged goods companies are facing challenges they have not faced in the past. I see the most important pieces of the culture prevailing. People at all levels of the organization are dedicated to keeping this place an amazing place to be.
