I have been working at Nestlé full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of developmental and career opportunities - local and internationally.

    Cons

There is a lot of bureaucracy and it is easy to get lost in such a large organization.

    Advice to Management

Remember to thank your teams for the work they do and not just focus on what didn't get done.

I worked at Nestlé full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working here taught me a lot about international business. They run an efficient operation, and have great systems, and hire highly competent people.

    Cons

The company doesn't feel very genuine about caring for its people and the world. Their social and environmental mission is disguised as a way to increase profit.

  8. "Great company! Nestle Freehold is just very unorganized and needs a total redo of upper management."

I worked at Nestlé full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers are great and flexible with work day.

    Cons

Work-life balance. There is too much work and not enough support.

    Advice to Management

Get organized and treat workers, hourly and salaried, better! A 12 hour day for a salaried worker should not be the normal!

I worked at Nestlé full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Health benefits are amazing. Easy to get hired in the lab due to insanely high turnover rate (the highest I saw was a person a week for 3.5 months. Average is about a person every 3 weeks).
Do not need to think or worry about work outside of shift.

    Cons

Lab safety is nonexistant- instead of using engineering controls for hazardous fumes I was told to hold my breath. When someone spoke up, they were made a scapegoat and treated horribly.
No place for advancement, unless willing to move to other plants.
Management couldn't care less about the employees- you are told regularly how disposable you are.
    Harassment was rampant from supervisors.
Beyond emails preaching Nestle core values, the values were not displayed at the plant level.
No one was willing to take responsibility for when things went wrong, so the lowest ranked person was thrown under the bus every time.

    Advice to Management

Fire all supervisors/management and start over. Especially in the lab.

I worked at Nestlé (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The Minnetonka location is a smaller office. Great group of people that genuinely care about each other and work very hard and are very dedicated. Management works regularly to hear any issues and creates access to allow employees to help improve the workplace. It's easy to be proud of where you work based on the dedication to the products and services they develop for the consumer. They engage with the consumer at the development level with care and concern. Great benefits, flexible, compassionate and do a wonderful job and making the employee feel important. Work environment is safe, clean, and well designed

    Cons

Multiple locations for Administrative Services, Corporate Management, Business Operations, Supply Chain and R&D. The Culture various at the different locations and makes it difficult to blend the families together.

    Advice to Management

Continue to communicate with the employees openly. Continue to be flexible and work to cross train and keep employees marketable.
