I have been working at Nestlé full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are great, especially the insurance.

    Cons

The supervisors are on the most part young and often look for a scapegoat when it comes to mistakes. I've seen too many employees blamed for the mistakes of the supervisors and lose their jobs as a result. It seems the supervisors are fearful of loosing their own jobs, which is perhaps why they do this. There is a high turnover rate, both of supervisors and other employees.

    Advice to Management

Allow room for growth and mistakes. When training people on new jobs, actually train them instead of having them fill in for someone else in a different position and counting that as training. Take responsibility for your own mistakes.

    Pros

There are a lot of developmental and career opportunities - local and internationally.

    Cons

There is a lot of bureaucracy and it is easy to get lost in such a large organization.

    Advice to Management

Remember to thank your teams for the work they do and not just focus on what didn't get done.

    Pros

A good set of operators with global coverage across an interesting portfolio
of products - natural hedges and tremendous resources and connections.

    Cons

Very hierarchical staid environment with little value attributed to external experiences. Little feminine diversity and head office intimidating rather than empowering.

    Advice to Management

Bring in and develop outside female talent. Continue with diverse portfolio. Use international connections to make governmental changes. Focus on sustainability agenda.
