    Pros

There are a lot of developmental and career opportunities - local and internationally.

    Cons

There is a lot of bureaucracy and it is easy to get lost in such a large organization.

    Advice to Management

Remember to thank your teams for the work they do and not just focus on what didn't get done.

I worked at Nestlé full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working here taught me a lot about international business. They run an efficient operation, and have great systems, and hire highly competent people.

    Cons

The company doesn't feel very genuine about caring for its people and the world. Their social and environmental mission is disguised as a way to increase profit.

I have been working at Nestlé full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is good. Benefits are great. Free pizza and ice cream. Company paid CDL training. 3 weeks PTO immediately. Depending on hire date a pension is available.

    Cons

No help. Work a lot of hours. Managers don't communicate anything. No raises or way to advance. Not safe work.

    Advice to Management

Actually know all your employees. Don't keep everyone in the dark or spread rumors.

I have been working at Nestlé full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Care about employees. Do not typically cut & re-hire but take longer term approach. For U.S., nice vacation policy, more in line with European company roots.
If open to move globally or even within U.S., many options available for different career path while staying with same company.

    Cons

Big company, very political, often hard to move up unless you the right connections, preferably Swiss or German. Tendency to look inward rather than outward.

    Advice to Management

Take better care to understand motivations of your employees especially millenials, and find better ways to recognize and promote based on performance.

I worked at Nestlé full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Wage and bonus and the occasional 8hour workday, benefits. Can't beat the money for making cat food.

    Cons

12 hrs a day without notice till day of sometimes 5 minutes before punching out. Mandatory 12 work days in a row, 2 days off then 12 days in a row most days being 12hrs. 3/4 of people unbearable to work with due to hours worked "walking zombies". No family life at all, a lot of divorced people. Good place to make money but no life. Work 12 hrs then be forced to be back to work 7 hrs an 54 minutes later to punch in for another 12 hrs even with a union. Stressful atmosphere all around. I do not recommend unless you have no choice .

    Advice to Management

Don't work the people to death. Mandatory 12 hour days, 12 days in a row twice a month is to much. To much favoritism and misleading information. Hire a few more people to cut down mandatory 12 hrs shifts. Employee goes on vacation and the 2 other operators have to cover 4 hours each of persons shift.
