I have been working at Nestlé full-time

    Pros

When I first started Nestle, it felt like a family owned company where managers cared and co-workers wanted you to succeed

    Cons

Nestle has turned into a millennial hub where the a lot of the focus is on individual work instead of company goals

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate talent across the board and look to reward those who perform well instead of those that focus on networking

I have been working at Nestlé full-time

    Pros

$12 hourly pay. flexible hours. easy money.

    Cons

no training is provided even though handbook states, "training provided." Was also told by head supervisor that training is not provided. I proceeded to be ambushed by three supervisors and received a 'plan of correction', without being talked to about what needed correcting in the first place. They rated my job performance as 'below expectations', but I never had a job to perform after the THREE MONTHS I have been working there. Had asked supervisor to train with me during the first two months of employment, and kept receiving the response, "will set time aside to give you some instruction'. Second supervisor never spoke a word about their lack of action and instead throws their employees under the bus--extending the probationary period.

    Advice to Management

Provide training. Know how to be a manager. Don't hire people with the wrong attitude/mentality/personality as your upper management. Be more organized. Show an interest in making sure your employees succeed instead of intimidating them to do better. Don't be duplicitous-- be forward.

I have been working at Nestlé full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are great, especially the insurance.

    Cons

The supervisors are on the most part young and often look for a scapegoat when it comes to mistakes. I've seen too many employees blamed for the mistakes of the supervisors and lose their jobs as a result. It seems the supervisors are fearful of loosing their own jobs, which is perhaps why they do this. There is a high turnover rate, both of supervisors and other employees.

    Advice to Management

Allow room for growth and mistakes. When training people on new jobs, actually train them instead of having them fill in for someone else in a different position and counting that as training. Take responsibility for your own mistakes.

I worked at Nestlé full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits. Decent work/life balance. Okay pay. Free coffee!

    Cons

Where to begin! Super corporate. Stuck in their ways. Find themselves "innovative" but their ideas are outdated. You can't move up in the company unless you're very political. Extremely hard to gain opportunities. Company wastes a lot of time on safety (FOR AN OFFICE). Very stick to the book type company. Claims to be "transparent" within, but will punish you for speaking up if you see something wrong. Just an awful work environment.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your employees! Take their advice. Listen. Be more creative. Create a more fun and open work environment. Loosen your tie a little, in other words.
