Depending on the group, too much favoritism
Career pathing not clear unless you know people

Work on balancing the roles/responsibilities. Currently the work is not being given to the most talented person, but the person who goes along well with managers.

I have been working at Nestlé USA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None, this is not a company you want to work for.

    Cons

Managers lack social skills and moral skills here. They also lack managing skills towards their employees, even the basics. They'll make you feel uncomfortable even if you work 130%. They'll be rude to you.

The company is racist and they'll make you feel that. People who are not 100% American will have a hard time. Everyone who started here was let go within 8 months. If you're being placed on a PIP, you can already start to look for a new job, it's just a mask and you'll never pass through it.

Spare your nerves, time and skills and look for something else, you might think the name Nestlé will look good on your CV and Linked-In but it's not.

I have been working at Nestlé USA full-time

    Pros

Great values, products, people, and benefits

    Cons

Wasteful spending to comply with vague cumbersome standards, hypocrisy at corporate level when it comes to wasteful spending. Do as I say, not as I do

    Advice to Management

Corporate should practice what they preach and stop expecting all the cost cutting to happen at the factory level where all the product is made

I worked at Nestlé USA (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good. Nestle cares about producing safe food products.

    Cons

Poor leadership at every level. Most areas are run by people who were promoted by friends or simply because they had been there many years. Hiring skills are non-existent. There is no coaching for improvement at any level that I observed. Salaries are under the national average curve.

    Advice to Management

Learn what true employee management is. The "good old boy" network within Nestle needs to be removed and replaced with sound training for leadership and management skills.
