    Pros

Competitive Salary and benefits, great working environment, friendly people

I worked at NetApp full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

NetApp has great software solutions. Mid-management has a lot of strong players. Good hours and compensation. Strong commitment to improving processes. Good benefits package.

    Cons

Company lacking in direction with regards to third-party strategy, both around resellers and OEM. Having difficulty determining business strategy for cloud, transitioning to a SW-based model and commoditization of storage. Several stumbles along the way.

    Advice to Management

Commit to a strategy and go all in.

I worked at NetApp full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay. Good people. Decent products. Lots of money to stay afloat for awhile, even during tough times.

    Cons

Very long hours. Lots of stress. No work/life balance. No promotion from within. Should spend more time making it a great place to work instead of on all of the marketing of this goal. Not a diverse product portfolio.

    Advice to Management

Need to diversity the product portfolio. Promote from within.

I worked at NetApp full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Staff level and people at or Director level are good. TD's are very good but stuck at the spindle level.

    Cons

VP level and above is more of a club. People that do not deserve the position are there. RTP is a joke run by people who in other companies would be glorified SE's.

    Advice to Management

Throw out the bums and ask Hitz to lead engg. again.
