I have been working at Netcentric full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The team is nice and friendly. There are a lot of company events organized. You really like to go to work. Everything is quite transparently communicated and you can participate in circles to decide about changes within the company (holacracy). Also a lot of goodies like fruits, cerials, once a month a paid lunch together and so on. Super flexible hours and work from home policy!

    Cons

So far I‘d say the only disadvantage is the salary of juniors and the small difference of salary when changing from trainee to junior developer. The badge system to achieve a higher level means usually extra work besides your usual daily project work.

    Pros

    - Great office location (way away from the cesspool of unfulfilled dreams and depression which is Pipera); - Great office design and amenities; - MacBook Pro as workstation; - Working from home opportunities; - Flexible schedule; - Standing desks and ergonomic chairs; - Holacracy system of management; - A perfect place if you are eager to go head on with challenges and you are someone who likes to leave their...

I have been working at Netcentric full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Nice and talented coworkers - a good place to start and learn - International and diverse team - Large international customers with interesting projects - The company runs on Holacracy: No hierarchies, no politics, everybody can participate to make things better. I was able to do a lot of interesting work outside of my classic job role - Good hardware (Apple MacBook Pro) - Modern offices with a beautiful view (21st...

    Cons

    - The technology stack is limited due to very strong focus on Adobe Marketing Cloud - We are growing really fast and sometimes it gets a little bit messy. But usually, problems are solved quite quickly due to Holacracy

    Advice to Management

I worked at Netcentric full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - DevOps technology stack is the norm, there is no place for manual tasks in performing operational tasks. Quite well automated, rather solid solutions. - they are open to working from home occasionally.

    Cons

    - Credential management for access inside the company or towards customer's data center is awful : shared accounts, user and passwords flying around over slack channels with tens of employees in it. Considering the operated product (AEM) with customer sensitive data, a sound customer will terminate the contract with them yesterday. - no training, induction or context, tasks are dumped over your head, often with past...

    Advice to Management

If Bucharest management would treat Swiss or German employees the same way they treat the Bucharest ones, well, some law-suites will appear. Motivation is more than throwing petty rewards at people. Hire real professional managers rather than most of the amateurs who's only attribute is "being here at the beginning". Set up induction and training plans, especially for newcomers.

I worked at Netcentric full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - The office is great. - We had a very big kitchen and fridge so it was really to easy to eat there with the collegues, you didn't have to worry about going to have lunch outside the office. - We had MacBooks Pro, the best ones, 15', i7, 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD - They have a great system with all the information about the company that you will need as an employee. The most organized I have ever seen. They have several...

This are the cons I saw as a Trainee software developer, it could be different for senior programmers or other people. - As I Trainee Software Developer I felt they were not interested in teaching us more than the necessary, they want us to be solvent in AEM CMS but no more than that. - They pay for your certifications in Java and other things BUT you have to take the certification in AEM first. - I felt some...

    Advice to Management

Sometimes it is better to say the truth from the begining, to say that you need fired someone just because you can't manage to have more trainees in real projects, that say any other thing. I understand that a company is made to make money. You can tell me or tell anyone that they are being fired because you can not have them. It is not the same being fired because you are bad at programming or at AEM than being fired...

    - The current "Advocate" model, where employees are assigned a group of their colleagues, to mentor and help in their career path and with other issues or needs they may have, was not working for a while. However, at the time of writing this post, Netcentric is testing a new and improved leadership model.

    Advice to Management

Always preserve the spirit of Netcentric: dynamic, constantly evolving and inclusive of everyone's voice, and keep on learning and taking action from all employees feedback, as we continue to grow. You've made some adventurous decisions, and they always turned out right, that's what makes working at Netcentric so challenging and so much fun.

I have been working at Netcentric full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

there might be other companies with nicer offices and better perks, but NC stays loyal to its people. When my wife was sick and had to work from home for several months, NC supported me. When the Medellin office had to be closed, NC offered relocation plans to everyone. And that is something not seen in today's profit-oriented market. That is the culture you keep.
