    Pros

Its a job at a time when jobs are scarce
Pay is good, benifits are good
Sometimes you can get time off

    Cons

Feeling like you are going to be fired at any minute for any reason
    Atmosphere of fear and hostility
Zero clear communication of what needs to be done to keep your job
Unrealistic stat expectations that change almost weekly

    Advice to Management

Stop treating employees like trash. If you want someone to do a good job give them a company they can be proud to work for.

    Pros

No reason to work there unless you are a masochist.
You can earn the same money selling vacuum cleaners.

    Cons

    Where do I start?
    No respect for employees.
    No vacation time.
    No sick leave.
    No consistency.
    No defending yourself.
    No dialogue.
    No sense of reason.
No rules for managers, supervisors or "teachers pets".
"Career Advancement" practically guarantees you'll be fired.

This is an awful, oppressive, fearful, negative and pitiful place to work. Seriously, go to Burger King or Walmart because they'll treat you better. For the "good wage (cough)" you'll end up with ulcers and a need to explain why you were fired to your next employer.

    Advice to Management

The corporate office needs to understand that in order to be #1, you have to treat people with respect. I have an MBA in Business and I'd never, ever treat people the way this company treats people. My advise? Fire your managment team in Hillsboro and start from scratch - you've got some major weak links there. They have ruined the call center. Being #1 is worthless if your employees hate every minute they spend there. I know I did.

    Pros

Good location, free lunch, ability to choose laptop, corporate culture looks good on paper

    Cons

Middle management is unable to effectively plan; they do not understand the strengths and weaknesses of their teams and seem to be mostly interested in protecting their bloated salaries. 20% of work force should be terminated. The other 80% is so segmented that they are unable to accomplish anything of any real value. Netflix was probably a great company to work for a few years ago, but is dangerously mismanaged now.

    Advice to Management

Start over. The company has great core beliefs but fails to efficiently execute.

    Pros

    Good Pay
    Free membership
    Clean environment
    Research is very helpful
    Free coffee and popcorn
    Direct deposit
    Netflix gear
    Close to public transportation

    Cons

    Tons of Stress!
Things change at a moments notice
    No sick time
    No vacation time
    No Holiday pay
    impossible to get time off
Not flexible with shifts forget it students!
Mandatory overtime if you don't pick a time they will. I was stuck there till 2am!
    Inconsistency in policies
They concentrate on the negative calls hence dsat!
    HIGH turnover
    Unhelpful Technical support
No shift drop or pick ups
Have fun getting yelled at for wait times and watch instantly issues!
Open 24 hours 7 days a week but for a lot off issues support staff isn't available.

    Advice to Management

If you were the leading company in customer satisfaction years ago when people actually enjoyed working there why did you change it?

You need to realize that people call in because they have a problem. Work on trying to fix the issue and not on figuring out which reps sugar coat the awful truth the best.

Give you CSR'S the tools to actually help your customers. Don't have them tell customer That they are capable of handling any situation when they can't! Some CSR's want to help but it doesn't get past the contact notes.

    Pros

The insurance is good and you get it quickly after starting. There are some good people that you meet here, however they are usually fired within a matter of months. It is a challenging environment to work in.

    Cons

The hours are very poor. There is no chance for promotion unless you are part of the current in crowd. The culture that is created is one that promotes arrogance, aggressive behavior and dishonesty. The general feeling is of fear and anxiety amongst the employees. You do not receive a performance review until you have upset management. You are expected to perform at such a level of intensity that it creates extremely high tension; associates tremble with fear. You are flat out told that you are expendable, and no matter how hard you try or what you accomplish, you will likely end up being walked out the door once they find someone who is not at the verge of a breakdown to replace you.

    Advice to Management

Management should consider the fact that by promoting and encouraging anti-social behavior the company is setting itself up for disaster. While people should be self-motivated and strong, they should not be expected to work themselves to a point of breakdown. Do not string the employees along and tell them one thing one day and something entirely different the next.

    Pros

Above average pay compared to the industry standard. Casual work attire policy.

    Cons

Inadequate, poorly-trained management. Very little emphasis on feedback to employees. No paid vacation.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees. Don't treat them like cattle. If you don't have any sense of loyalty to your employees, they won't hesitate to leave for a better offer elsewhere. Your company has about 25% turnover, easily. Why do you think that is?

    Pros

hands down pay is great 14.00 plus health care benefits (800 extra a month if you opt out of insurance) puts my pay above 2500 a month!

10 hour shifts (can be a con too) three day weekends are nice but you will need it

Classified as a hostile work environment by the state of Oregon so you get unemployment for virtually anything you may get fired for (even if you deserve to be fired). Make sure you get hired by netflix first before taking advantage of this sweet pro. It does not work if you are still on your trial period with them through a hiring agency.

Great job to go into to find a real career especially as a college graduate in this economy

    Cons

Customers have no lives so they call up about stupid things and feel they deserve the world for $9.99

Dealing with stupid people all day long is very rough.

Pay is great but think about it, why do they pay so well? If it was a great place to work they would not need to pay well, would they ;-)

constantly acting like you care takes its toll at about 4 months in (like I said start looking for another job on your three day weekend no matter what you think at the start of this job, you will thank me later for that nugget of info ;-)

You will not get time off even though they don't give you paid time off

People are always getting axed around you so don't depend on the job.

    Advice to Management

Let people take time off! By not your allowing people time off your making them get burnt out.
