I have been working at Netflix (Less than a year)

    Pros

they send you movies to watch and you basically get paid for reviewing and rating them

    Cons

you only get a couple hundred dollars a week

    Advice to Management

consider collaborating on company improvements and ideas like adding extra bonus cash for setting up car washing centers or certain areas and lots to pay participants and employees another hundred or more per week for washing cars during the summer. Let's think of ways to keep America active, while encouraging them to watch movies. LOL. I noticed that your revenue is like 4 or 5 billion dollars a year from a google search. Very nice, now maybe if kids were allowed to work for Netflix too, Netflix will go sky rocketing in business unless they are already working for Netflix. I've had some issues finding job openings for the Netflix Tagger positions so I posted an application and my resume under user experience/design and as a Senior Product Researcher - Quantitative's position under the consumer insights field on the webpage jobs.netflix.com. I just needed proof that this job exists. Also a customer service representative I had the opportunity to speak with was totally unaware that Netflix had such a job, just as I was too. Plus the option to pick what movies we review for you would be nice, And maybe get paid more for choosing odd movies that many people haven't seen.

    Pros

People are awesome, culture is highly motivated, they take everyone, don't discriminate and hire you for who you are as a person

    Cons

Shift bids are the one draw back of this company. But those are going away soon. Choose your own shift pilot in January

    Pros

I just hit my 2 year mark at Netflix, and it has been great thus far. It has been quite the whirlwind and learning experience, and I continue to be challenged every day. The partnerships I have formed are immeasurable, and to be involved with a company changing the way entertainment content is consumed is pretty exciting.

Biggest pro in my eyes to working here has been the people. My colleagues truly are "stunning" as the culture deck highlights. Really some of the best in the business, and everyone I collaborate with has a clear passion and drive for their work.

Although we move at lightning speed, it pushes me to excel, and not simply coast through the day to day grind.

    Cons

Sometimes we forget to celebrate/recognize our major accomplishments because we are always moving towards the next best thing.

I have been working at Netflix full-time

    Pros

Freedom and Responsibility is the fabric of the culture. The mentality to be able to make changes and shift gears quickly allows us to execute in a manner that I have never experienced before in my previous companies. The inherit trust allows me to grow and the feedback and candor allows teams to refine great ideas to execution. We are treated like adults here and you are your own police.

    Cons

I don't have any major qualms other then a smaller detail that their isn't a gym on campus. There is a discount for the gym across the street or access to another close to campus.

    Advice to Management

Continue giving strong feedback and hold true to scaling the culture

I worked at Netflix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary. Culture. "Freedom and Responsibility". VP of PR.

    Cons

Disorganized growth. Too many hires from the Studio world are diluting what made the company the rebel.

    Advice to Management

Content is king, but if it becomes all content, you'll be just another horse in the race. Invest in the brand in creative ways, and reinforce what it stands for beyond the latest show.
